This is a very nice, very old hotel. The grounds are beautifully landscaped. The full English breakfast served every morning is phenomenal. The staff are friendly and courteous. It's a bit of what this American visitor loved to see as a taste of English tradition.
Now, the not so good - the bed was pretty lumpy and the mattress probably should've been replaced ages ago. It was also nearly impossible to take a shower because the temperature of the water oscillates from scalding hot to freezing cold quite often. But, if you can get past the shower thing and the mattress thing, you'll have a good stay. read more
