Highly recommended this hike. There is plenty of free parking. The park is very clean with well maintained trails. The 800 beautiful acres of land was given to the town in 1966 by Myra Hopson in 1966. The park is open daily from sunrise to sunset. Part of the old Appalachian Trail goes through the park. You also see Fuller Pond, which is a glacial lake. From Pond Mountain you see the Catskills. Caleb's Peak is on the Appalachian Trail, and from there you get a view of Kent and the Housatonic Valley. No fires no smoking allowed anywhere in the park. read more
