My surgery was conducted with local anesthesia, so i can't speak for IV sedation or oral sedation. I've had experiences with local anesthesia prior. So I knew what to expect. The numbing....while painful was the least scary part of the procedure. The surgery was EXCRUCIATING.... even with the sedation. but i don't regret having it done, as my teeth were starting to decay because of the lack of space. My advice to anyone considering it. is PLEASE only do it if it's ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY. Because i refused IV sedation... the local anesthesia, was painful enough that i started to tear up. I am currently writing this while my head and mouth are throbbing. My mouth is pooling with blood and saliva. i may have even swallowed a little lol. Please remember not to wait until you're 30s or 40s to have it done. The doctor was kind and understanding. My 18 year old was in pain from one of his wisdom tooth, and the Sacramento Valley Dental Specialists were able to get him in first thing on Saturday morning at 7:00am. The front staff were amazing. The office was so immaculate, and the beverage bar they had was also really nice. The techs and assistants who took us back to take pictures, and go over billing details were great too. My son bravely opted to have all 4 wisdom teeth extracted the same day. Dr. Amir went over my son's xray thoroughly, and explained what the procedure was going to be like. He was kind, patient, and had a great personality. Dr. Amir definitely made the experience for my son more calming and comfortable. After the surgery, they provided my son with a "wrap around head/chin" ice pack for the swelling, which had 2 ice packs one on each side of his cheeks, making icing hands-free. So nice. The healing process went very well. Overall, Dr. Amir and the staff really know what they are doing, and they truly care. I highly recommend them!

Upon returning from my trip, I scheduled an emergency appointment with Luc Dental Care. An x-ray confirmed a large cavity in my wisdom tooth. I was immediately referred to Sacramento Valley Dental Specialists for a tooth extraction. I spoke with a friendly representative at Sacramento Valley Dental Specialists who was able to schedule a next day consultation and oral surgery. The following day I arrived to a group of friendly employees at the front desk that greeted me. Since I filled out the intake form prior to the appointment, I was only seated for two minutes before being ushered to the back. An employee took my blood pressure, administered an x-ray, and informed me that the surgeon would be with me shortly. Shortly after Dr. Fries entered the room and introduced himself. He gave me an overview of the procedure that would be conducted, asked if I had any questions, and then started a short video that informed me about post-extraction care. After the video concluded, I was ushered to another room where Dr. Fries and an employee began administering the local anesthesia. Roughly 10 minutes later, after confirming that the anesthesia had kicked in, Dr Fries began the procedure. Throughout the procedure Dr. Fries and the employee did a great job of communicating what was happening (the wisdom tooth was very stubborn in coming out) and verifying that I was not in pain (although there was slight discomfort). Three days later, strictly following the post-extraction rules, I have no pain (thankfully)...thank you Dr. Fries and the rest of the Sacramento Valley Dental Specialists team!

Laguna Vista Dental got my Mom in immediately to evaluate the extent of the dental damage. They found an amazing orthodontist to handle the repositioning of 6 of my Mom's front teeth. They also stayed until after closing to ensure that they could mold a piece onto the front tooth that broke. Dr. Fenton's calm and caring demeanor, as well as that of the entire staff, made a traumatic event less stressful for both my Mom and me. I have always been pleased with their service and attention to detail, but I am even more impressed by their attention to the emotional needs of their patients.

The bite is off, they've drilled it down twice. The second time they broke a piece off, smoothed it out, then put 2 new fillings in the screw canals. The fillings fell out within an hour of me leaving. They don't respond to my voicemail so I sent an email. Two weeks and still no response. My prosthetic feels terrible in my mouth and they don't seem to care. Its not what I'd expect for the high price i had to pay. More pieces at the missing fillings site have broken off. Some of the staff are nice, but I totally feel ripped off. Where do I go to file complaints? Consumer Affairs, I guess.

From time to time, I am embarrassed to say they find those pesky little cavities!! My insurance covers most of it and I am out of pocket for a few dollars. Now, when they find something forming with their high tech gadgets, I do not wait. When you wait, and after time it becomes an emergency, that's when more work is needed. Then fast forward to friday where i had to rush to the ER at 5am because i started gushing blood nonstop and it took them three different ways to stop the bleeding and what did the job was their last resort which was a medication they use for women in labor... ya. my other issue is not only was i unable to eat or drink water this entire week (i've now lost a lot of weight and a lot of blood) the dentist didn't care or offer any sympathy nor an apology, he was more concerned about the ER people saying he messed up and spent the first 5 minutes with me complaining about them even though he sent me there. he kept trying to find a way to put the blame on me and didn't like that it was a him issue. theres even more that happened but safe to say i don't trust it here anymore and will hopefully not be coming back.

He listened to my concerns and very calmly told me he will make sure I feel nothing.
