She really went the extra mile answering all our questions, thoroughly explaining everything we need to do and then provided a list for us! I myself also had an appointment with her and she was great. I hadn't been to a dentist in 8 years (yes, I know! Embarrassing!) but she made me feel so comfortable. One thing I absolutely hated about the dentist is getting that really long, expensive and overwhelming estimate at the end. Dr Phipps prioritized what needs to be done and provided only that estimate which helped my anxiety about the whole visit quite a bit. Her plan for me is realistic and again, not overwhelming like every single dentist I've been to. Debra at the front desk is also wonderful!!! She's so kind and patient and really helpful. I cannot share h enough about the great experience we had at this office!

I feel like every time I get examined after a cleaning, there is always something he recommends that I need work on or will eventually need, although I have no concerns or pain with any of my teeth. When he suggests all these unnecessary treatments, it gives me anxiety and makes me question whether I should get the work done or not. I always receive a printout of the recommended services and how much they will cost. I understand that it is ultimately up to me whether I want to proceed with any treatment, but the constant reminders of the RECOMMENDED work makes me feel pressured, and I don't like that feeling. It also makes me question whether it's all about making money. Going to the dentist already gives me a lot of anxiety, and I'm sure that's the case for many people. At the end of the day, I don't want a doctor who makes me feel like there is always something wrong with my teeth. Throughout my years, I have seen a lot of doctors and none has ever made me feel pressure like Dr. Sato. Maybe it's his personality or how he approaches his patients. My goal in finding a good dentist has always been about finding a great dental hygienist, but this time around I feel like I need to move on and find another doctor who makes me feel more comfortable and at ease. Lately, whenever I get some sort of work done--like a crown, a root canal, or even a simple cleaning--my nerve seems to get triggered and causes pain elsewhere. Great visit from my first to most recent…read more It had been some years since I'd gone to see the Dentist (yes I know), and I was looking for a more local dentist as my previous was in East Sac and I'm close to Elk Grove. I'd been researching dentists for some time and kept coming back to Elk Grove Healthy Smiles (EHS), due to all of theor positive reviews and the staff from posted photos seems very friendly. I finally decided to visit EHS, and it turns out my girlfriend we t here when she was younger and had positive experiences as well. My initial consultation was thorough, and everything noted was gone over with me by both my Dental Hygienist and Dr. Nanra. And any further treatment was discussed and I given the option and opportunity to do it the same day, which I opted for dueing my 1st visit. Further treatment I went to another professional, and EHS helped me through the process and were even able to get me in sooner than expected. And then get me back in in-house, to finish a treatment before I went on vacation. Standard visits have been quick and easy as well, and staff have always ensured I was comfortable throughout my visits. From the reception team up front, to the dental professionals in the back. The staff are always nice and friendly with a positive attitude. And the front desk staff, make everything from billing to appointment booking as easy as possible. Overall: Great Dr. and great staff. I worried that I might meet another dentist who would over diagnose and make me fear conditions that did not actually require concern. I spent a great deal of time researching before choosing a new dentist, much more than I did in the past. After today's visit, I felt reassured that my efforts were worthwhile because Dr. Le met every expectation I had. I had a morning appointment, and Dr. Le greeted me and my wife at the front counter. This small gesture set a very positive tone for the visit. When it was time to review my X rays, I felt anxious about what he might find. Dr. Le explained that my crown was fine, my fillings were large but stable, and I had no cavities. I felt an immediate sense of relief because his assessment was clear, calm, and free of the alarming tone I experienced with a dentist I saw last year. It is possible that I was hoping to hear good news, but I appreciate a dentist who encourages and educates rather than one who over diagnoses and frightens patients. Dental care is ongoing, so it matters to have someone supportive who will guide my oral health for years to come. One thing that surprised me was that the office does not appear to have hygienists. Dr. Le personally performed the cleaning for both me and my wife. I do not have a strong preference, but for those who like being cleaned directly by the dentist, this is a benefit. He was gentle, calm, and very thorough. It may be early to claim that he is the best dentist in town, but I can confidently say that he was flawless and exceptional throughout the entire visit. I was able to get an appointment fairly easily, which makes me think the office may not be as busy as some others in Elk Grove. Based on my experience, I believe this will change soon because once more people discover Dr. Le, appointments will likely become harder to secure. He will talk down on u like ur stupid. Very rough when doing X-rays. He was so rough that my gums were scratched and pealed while he was doing X-rays. Never once did he say sorry for having me wait. They sent a wrong authorization to my insurance. They wanted to extract my wisdom tooth which was never discussed and there is no issues with my wisdom tooth. I went in for assessment to see if I can need a root canal. Which I did but they were saying that tooth was my wisdom tooth which wasn't and kept arguing with me over the phone. I went to another dentist and he confirmed the tooth I went in for isn't a wisdom tooth and my wisdom tooth is on the opposite side. When I also asked dr rios to explain what a root canal is and what needs to be done he didn't know how to explain it. Clearly this place is not well educated and not professional at all. Would never recommend this place not even to a person I don't like!!!! If I could give this place a negative star I would!!!!!
