Items include handmade, vintage, antique, re-purposed and salvage. DJ Mike Locke provides the entertainment. On the day I visited I got there close to closing. I am not sure if some of the vendors already packed up but it looked like it. There was one huge tent and then one line of vendors outside. I mainly saw jewelry but here were also hummel figurines, depression glass and other assorted odds and ends. The vendors that were there were ready to wheel and deal. A lot of them were asking people to just make an offer and one women was offering and entire box of baubles for a dollar each. I was looking for some vintage pyrex but I didn't see any. If you want the best selection come when they open at 9 AM. I overheard some of the vendors say that they sold a lot of things earlier in the day. If you are just looking to perhaps snag a deal come close to 4 when the vendors are looking to sell rather than pack it up, The next fair is February 16th. Check the Festival Flea market's website under events for further dates.

With a big goal of shopping local this holiday season, I stopped by their market on the Sunday after Black Friday to support shopping small businesses. I always love the vendors they have and got a good amount of holiday shopping done. Some of my favorite vendors this time around were Hailey Pancakes, Gypset Co, and the Slip-not headband company. If you get the chance to get Hailey's macarons, do it! She had amazing flavors like coquito (so gooooood) and strawberry cheesecake. They were true to flavor and not overly sweet. Gypset Co has beautiful dainty & minimal jewelry for you best gal friends. I am OBSESSED with Slip-not's headbands. The material is so soft and she has a variety of colors and patterns. There were so many vendors to show love to and buy from! I definitely recommend checking the Flamingo Flea at their next event, wherever that may be. What a great way to support local and get unique gifts this holiday season!

I thought this was a thrift store--not a consignment shop. I was given the most grief over a TV I wanted to donate. Was it a big TV? I'm a boomer and can remember when TV sets were furniture that sat on the floor, so I was unclear what she meant. I told her that it was a table top TV, but it was heavy. Couldn't I get it into my car? I'm on the fifth floor. Didn't I have an elevator? At that point I said, "I can see that you're not interested in helping me, so thank you for your time." She sputtered a little then hung up. I gave the tables to one of the workers in my building who was very happy to get them for her patio--stains and all. As far as my other donations go, (There were more than just the aforementioned TV and end tables.) the Salvation Army will be picking them up on Monday.

There are are only a few spaces and to pull out you have go right onto Dixie Hwy which is dangerous because everyone speeds. I was only in the store a short time and i came out to find someone parked across the back of my car blocking me in. If you can find a way to park and make your way in you will find the store to be small. Even so they had some interesting things, furniture, household goods, and a lot of clothes. Items are clearly marked with prices. It is worth a stop if you are in the area.
