It was about a 20 minute taxi ride from the center of the city in a suburb, but it was worth the drive. The decor reminded me of a cute apartment. The food and service were impeccable. Since no one spoke English except the chef, she ended up being our server, which was pretty awesome. I opted for the tasting menu so I won't speak to the particular dishes as they will most likely be different than someone else's experience. Each dish was expertly plated with the chef coming to tell us what we were eating. The wine menu was also pretty phenomenal. One of the best dining experiences we had in the city and loved that it lacked the touristy element of the other places I visited in the inner city.

The prices were very reasonable, especially for the level of excellence provided. Pastas were a real standout. Tiramisu was amazing. They took "summer melon" which I was told was cantaloupe. It was cut into 1/8 inch teeny tiny cubes and simmered for a long time until very soft and the sweetness a little washed out. It was sooo good. The braised beef was cooked to perfection, the sauce was delectable and the sides were great. The mozzarella and tomato was amazing too. Perfectly seasoned and the tomatoes were conscientiously sliced. 1000% suggest this restaurant

Well here is what for me was an eye opener in the pizza department, fresh made by a really friendly guy who even gave us free arancini to try. You might think you are lost because Apple Maps shows we've arrived but this place is tucked toward the back of a small alley behind Florence Moon Leather Factory. We started with the focaccia w olive pâte and chick pea w rosemary and hot peppers which were both simple yet flavorful. Their Carbonara was classic and creamy, with crispy guanciale and just the right peppery kick. The roast lamb? Roasted to perfection - it was tender , juicy, and beautifully seasoned. For desserts, based on our server's recos: homemade tiramisù that was light yet rich, and pistachio gelato with hot chocolate sauce that I'm still thinking about.
