A company's financial success has nothing to do with whether a prospective employee should receive a written offer outlining compensation and benefits. What concerned me most was the apparent expectation that I should accept employment based solely on verbal discussions. As a professional, I believe both employers and employees should have clear documentation of the terms being agreed upon. So they kept my $8,750 claiming they "did work for me" over the 24 hour period that was "moved up" instead of the 5 week wait. I have nothing. They did no work but insist on keeping all my money. I offered to pay for time spent , they refused. They kept my entire payment. My advice would be to not be as trusting and in hindsight "stupid" for paying up front an entire bill. My problem is I trust people, and this is an expensive lesson that I shouldn't have trusted the Siegel Law Group.
