Three different swimming pools, one for toddlers, one of children, one for adults and teens. The…read moreadult one usually is always cold, and always packed, can never get to move around. Lots and lots of teenagers always cram this place up. The swimming pool and changing rooms are not that clean. The changing rooms are just like a curtain you pull across when you are getting changed, not really secure, alot of kids running around opening them up. The toilets are all wet on the floor and are not that clean. The cafe upstairs is better, nice food, nice drinks, reasonable prices. They have rooms for badminton and squash too which are okay, a lot of people can look over though. The outside of Queens Park is terrible. Dog muckings everywhere, teenagers doing drugs and drinking. Not much families walking around any more. I used to go to this place as a child with my mum and dad but not any more, as its been took over by teenagers. Its not that clean anymore either. The only part that is average is the kids park, the cafe near the kids park and the cricket field, as this is the part where the teenagers dont usually tend to hang around. I wouldnt advise going here, there are much better places.

There are always classes available for kids and adults and a smaller pool for the youngest of kids! There is also a gym located inside it which is very small and doesn't have a lot to offer. The changing rooms have been merged to make one large unisex changing area which is clean and good for families. Lockers cost 50p and come in a range of sizes. The pool is a standard 25m pool, but it seems a bit narrow. The baby pool is a good size, and warm too! There is a viewing area where the cafe used to be, and the entrance is much larger and lighter than it used to be. There are also squash courts and a new gym but I have only used the pool. Lane swimming in the morning at 11.30am is very quiet and costs £2.70. It is clean and reasonable on price, beating Ponds Forge by over £2!

What more could you possibly ask for? This place sums up the climbing scene in Sheffield. Loads of down to earth skinny strong people having a great time in a converted industrial warehouse. It simply can't be beaten. To the beginner or southern climber, be wary of the standard. If you can't do a problem some child will rock up next to you and provide the beta. I have 2 rules in life. 1. Never tell French people that you're into climbing. 2. Never tell anyone from Sheffield what grade you climb. Its just too embarrassing.
