Polson Propane { Ameri-Gas } has released all their great office folks and is now automated call in to someplace overseas where the rep. can hardly speak English . Took me 15+ minutes to finally have the guy understand that I wanted only to order a delivery of propane !! This is total BS ! After being a long time loyal customer ...I think they have seen the last of us . Talked to our customers as well, I'm not the only one . We are part time residents of Flathead lake (Polson) Montana. We have been using this company for over ten years. Since they sold out to Amerigas the service has been a complete disaster. Their customer service line goes to The Phillipines. The agents have thick accents and communication is very limited. We were always told we were on an "as needed" auto fill basis which turns out is not being executed as such therefore when we arrived Jan.28 the tank was at 10%. Our fireplace would not operate nor our stove. Our home uses this fireplace for additional heat and the outside temperature was 29o. Needless to say, we were freezing! Our first call was to Polson Propane (now Amerigas): who told us they refilled with our tank up (12/1/21) about 8 weeks ago. This is impossible as we have NEVER used that much propane and we were not even in the State nor was anyone staying here. We proceeded to make several more calls and they assured us they would be out the next day. At about noon we called and said we were number four on delivery route. They never showed up ! So we called again much later in the day and they said NO they are not coming until tomorrow! Not even a call or text. This is deplorable customer service unlike any I have ever encountered in my 75 years. They finally sent a driver today three days later.... We are leaving this company as soon as possible. Do NOT rely on them for any of your propane needs. When we have met the Delivery Drivers they have been very pleasant and knowledgeable about filling up and quick. It's not the fault of them by any means. It's poor management and solely the fault of this big corporation gobbling up a small independent propane company and not giving a darn about their loyal and long time customers. KristinH read more

Exceptional customer service!! We couldn't be happier with the service received from the folks at Polson Propane! As transplants to western MT last fall, one of our first tasks was to find a propane provider. With no history on the tank at our new residence, it was going to require some research to determine if our tank was leased or owned outright. I called a company used by friends in the area and received zero assistance in this effort. As luck would have it, my next call was to Polson Propane. Randi went above and beyond to assist, explaining pricing and billing options, researching the status of our tank, patiently answering my countless questions, and in general, showing Montana hospitality to these propane rookies. Mind you, ours is a tiny 120 gallon tank -- not exactly an account they are going to make a bundle on. At this point, we would have been willing to pay more for propane because of their outstanding customer service. Fortunately, that wasn't necessary because their pricing beat their competitors pricing as well! Fast forward six months and Polson Propane has seen us through a record-setting cold winter without missing a beat. Even when we dropped the ball and weren't prepared for our propane delivery with clear access to the tank, the delivery tech didn't leave us hanging. He parked the truck on the road, hauled the hose the distance to the tank, and launched himself over the chain link fence when the gate was too frozen to open. We don't take that kind of effort for granted! Needless to say, we have been prepared for subsequent deliveries. Without a history of propane use at this residence, Polson Propane worked us into their delivery schedule when it was clear our fuel wouldn't last until the next scheduled delivery. Since the propane fireplace is our primary source of heat, we are extremely grateful! Avoid doing business with this company. Really terrible customer service. They actually asked me to not be a customer anymore because I didn't buy enough Propane. I was filling my tank every other year (300 gallons), but they needed me to purchase more just to be a customer even though I was also paying annually for the tank rental. I took my business to Energy Partners in Ronan and they are fantastic. Annual tank rental was half the price and their customer service and timeliness is spot on. I know 3 builders here in Polson that are all recommending to their customers to stay away. read more
