I went back in the morning to try to snag a ticket, and the line at 9:55am was already looong. After I got in line, it instantly grew looooonger behind me. I got a 2pm ticket, which I feel very lucky to get. I came a little late, but thankfully my group for my time slot didn't go too far. I can see why we needed a tour guide. We were led up these veerryyyyyy narrow winding stairs for multiple floors. It felt very scary, going up these narrow and steep stairs that I worry about the stability of, AND going so high up. The view of the Baroque Library was worth it. What a beautiful library. Made me feel like I was in a magical library! Took a bunch of photos and a video. I just wish we could actually enter the library. Everyone was crowding to take photos and videos from the doorway. To reach the Astrological Hall, we went up wooden stairs that are the original from the 18th century! More scary stair-climbing. The views of Prague from the top floor of the tower balcony were very beautiful. Even though I was scared of heights, dropping my phone, and bumping into someone and risking falling, it was very cool to be so high up and get a bird's-eye view of Prague. Made it back down safely! This is not a great tour for anyone scared of heights. And you'll be disappointed if you were expecting to enter the library.

Yelp Review 2023 #95:…read more I went to the Municipal Library of Prague for one thing and one thing only - to see "Idiom" by Matej Kren...in social media, it's known as the Prague Library Book Tower or Infinity Book Tower. It is an installation made with 8,000 books with a mirror above and below the cylindrical structure giving it the illusion of infinity. You can stick your head through a teardrop-shaped opening to see this. They open at 9am on Tuesdays to Fridays, 1pm on Mondays and Saturdays, and closed on Sundays. Social media has driven more crowds to come here so be prepared for that. There can be a line and you have tourists that should be waiting in line but they're taking pictures from the side and are in everybody else's pictures - wait your turn! That's annoying. So, don't be afraid to speak up. Also, don't be that annoying tourist that doesn't understand waiting in line. When it's your turn, take your pictures and quick video and leave. Please do not take more than 5 minutes to take pictures for your Insta - a lot of people have been here and you're not special! It's free. It's a quick thing to see. It's interesting. Did I check out the library? No. The books are in Czech.

Loved stepping out in the warm sun after leaving the safety of the solid structure. I love books.. naturally, I gravitate toward them. Good for restrooms, WiFi, and some of the best ovocné knedlíky snacks in their cafe! gobbled up orders of them. Minutes walk away from the bridge as well.

Then the conductor told us about the monks and how they brewed beer here from the 14th century and about a beautiful library. In my head I said "is this the library?!" So I hopped off to see what it was all about. Plus, really wanted to try some 14th century monk beer. Thank God I did! It was the library!!! If you EVER get the chance to come here, do it. It is so much more than beer and books! You have to pay to take photos but you can just enjoy it too. Some people were able to walk around but it was closed off so you can look in but I think actually walking around the library cost more money. There's also an area where you can get food and of course beer! I ate a delicious hotdog and had 2 beers. One was your standard Czech Pilsner and the other was the famous blueberry beer which recipe had come from the 14th century and it was pretty delicious. There's a hall of mirrors that was fun to walk around and I even got to see the Eiffel Towers little brother! Not only does this place offer beautiful views from inside the library but you can see all of Praha from the Eiffel's little bro or just peeking through the trees whilst walking the grounds. I got here by bus but there is a team that you can take from the base of the hill. Definitely a beautiful site to see! Hope to return to this beautiful city one day!
