My family was denied. Why? Because my wife had one thing on her credit report that is over 2 years old and has been settled/paid 2 years ago, so nothing on her report was/is outstanding. John, this so-called manager, didn't even bother calling our references to actually see that we have been paying our rent on time every single month for the last 3+ years; that is a lot more relevant than a settled bill that was over 2 years ago, which is what he based his decision on. Makes me question the credibility of Polonia Park and their management. Thankfully, my family and I have found a better place with professional management that actually took into account recent history instead of something that was over 2 years ago. Management at our new place actually called our references like any professional landlord would do. My wife personally knows 2 people that currently live at Polonia Park apartments and they told my wife that they got approved with bad credit; one of whom had to put their apartment in their boyfriends name just to live there (boyfriend doesn't even live there, John the manager just was deceived into thinking so). Management needs to watch who they approve, because you're being deceived by current tenants who live at Polonia Park. Obviously John didn't check the woman's credit report or else she would've been denied, right? So why did John check my credit AND my wife's credit when he only checked one of the tenants credit that currently live there? Makes no sense and seems as if we're discriminated for some reason. My family and I are actually good, honest and responsible people. Something on our credit report that was several years ago shouldn't be more relevant than recent history that shows proof that we have been on time on all of our credit card bills, bills in general, and our rent. Everything happens for a reason and we want to thank John and the rest of Polonia Park management for denying us, because we wouldn't want to pay rent to someone that has no credibility and very unprofessional. Thank you for denying a family of 3 with my wife being pregnant with our second child. Joanna, the office manager is not very nice at all. The 2 tenants that currently live there gave my wife and me some not-so-good-news about her. She can be rude most of the time. My advice to anyone reading this that is thinking of considering Polonia Park - don't! The reason why I wrote this review is for potential renters to reconsider other places. This place needs new management, because the employees there now need to be fired. There are many other places out there that deserve your rent, unlike Polonia Park. GOOD LUCK! read more
