So, new construction was the route we were taking. We looked at a few communities in Parkland where we used to live but nothing stood out. Boynton was never on our list of cities to check out. However, our realtor wanted to show us this model because it had a three car garage which was a major point on our list, it was near the turnpike and it had a loft style setting upstairs etc. And oh boy, did GL homes make a great model home. I knew it the minute I saw it that this is the builder we needed to get our house made from. GL homes is considered #1 builder in south Florida, they have developed many communities in the area. They have been a pleasure to work with and pick all the options with. Few more months and the house will be complete, and I will update this review. I can not wait.~

I helped my son buy a home in Canyon Springs. He is the third owner. The floor tiles are buckling…read moreup, moving and some are cracking. Their neighbor is having the same issue. GL homes sent a contractor to the neighbors house to fix there tiles free of charge. My son had to pay over $2000 the first time to get the tiles fixed but each time another section of the floor comes loose or cracks & needs to be repaired it's an additional $400 plus. GL homes knows that the original contractor who put down those floors did not do a good job. GL homes refers another contractor to fix the repairs. They pick and choose who they want to help with this issue. The seller disclosure at the time of sale did not have this listed as an issue. The seller also had to have some tiles fixed and why was this not disclosed? GL homes is a big Home builder in southern Florida. Their homes are very nice. I feel that if you were aware of an issue like this you would fix all the homes that are having a problem with the tiles

Over 55 community the people in neighborhood are amazing but Lennar homes has built all these homes so fast that I cannot list all the problems she has with her brand new home. Here are just a few. Tiles are coming up off the floor. My mom almost broke her toe on one. There wasn't even wires in an electric socket in the hallway. Haha How does a new home past inspection and there isn't even wires in electric socket. They put a cover plate on it and I guess hoped no one would use it. The back sliding door had to be completely replaced because they bent the door frame and sliding door during the installation. Not only are all these things wrong but the customer service is beyond awful. They made multiple appointments for sliding door and no show no call 2 times. Then they fix door but no one came to fix the concrete where he had to cut the door out of the house. Very frustrating. Today waiting again for an 8am appointment it's 9am no call no nothing. I had to write this because this has been going on for 10 months now. Something that was supposed to be a place to retire and have peace has been nothing but stress since she moved in. I know places get busy but to not even call and be courteous to your clients that's next level wrong. So we bought the $350,000 house and it's crap but I suppose you got what you needed from us so I guess she isn't important anymore. The most frustrating thing is the no show no phone calls!!
