I've been back here a couple times to die now and I always enjoy the food. On my latest visit I saw…read morethat they had a special on a three-piece box that came with chicken, nuggets, fries, and a drink. This sounded pretty good, but since I'm not supposed to eat root vegetables, I went to the counter and inquired if I could get a different side. I was informed that they could not change anything about that that particular special but they suggested a three-piece combo which is the same price. The difference being that you don't get the nuggets but get a choice of bread or a tortilla. Needless to say I was a bit disappointed. I did go with the three-piece combo which consisted of three pieces of dark chicken and I got the Campero rice for my side. I also had the dinner roll and a regular drink. Along with this I ordered one of their empanadas because I haven't had one yet. They gave me my number and I went and got my drink and found a place to sit. A very short time later, they came out with my food and I asked if I could get some salt. Apparently there was a complaint from a customer involving salt so they no longer carry salt when you're dining in. They did have hot sauce on the table, so I enjoyed my meal with the green sauce. The chicken as usual was excellent and I do enjoy their rice. The dinner roll was a nice compliment to the meal and I was really impressed with the empanada. I haven't had an empanada that was this packed with goodness in a very long time. I will definitely be back but chances are I will bring my own salt. this is a nice location with a drive-through. On the downside from my point of view is the ordering kiosks that are out front. I won't use those so I just approach the counter and get assistance. The lady that took care of me was really nice and guided me through the ordering process and was also the one who brought me my food when it was ready. if you're looking for a good bone in chicken meal, then this is an excellent place to die. The dining area is well lit and kept clean. I'm always treated well and I always enjoy my meal.

I've been to a lot of pollo restaurants across the country and this one I had never heard of until…read moreI came to Florida while I was intrigued to see how it checked out that was quickly let down once it came to the food. Our food came out relatively fast as it is a quick service restaurant but that's when it fell short as all of the food we ordered was lukewarm like you could tell it all had been sitting for a while as to the point of where it really lacked had this been hotter I'm sure it would have been better. The spicy chicken sandwich wasn't bad had it been hot I can see the flavors coming out more as it was a decent sized piece of chicken with some of the spicy sauce and some bread and butter pickles which I did find to be a surprise as not many places use those pickles on a chicken sandwich. My lady said her chicken pieces were also lukewarm and she said that had they been hot that they would have been significantly better as it fell the same way with the yuca fries as those too were lukewarm and just left her looking for warmer food. The empanada was probably the warmest item that we received it was ok as it had a decent flavor to it but it lacked a lot of chicken as it felt like it was mostly sauce which was definitely underwhelming at most. All of the employees we encountered were very friendly and busy working and cleaning and just seemed to be enjoying their shift which is definitely a plus as I know how it can get in a QSR environment. Even though this had nothing to do with the restaurant I do have to say that this random guy came in and was like arguing with the staff about using the restroom this is after he came over and took some paper towels from the employee's roll who was cleaning the windows kinda random but it was kinda amusing to watch them while we ate. One other thing I noticed here was that there was no trash can at all which I'm very much so not a fan of as I'm not for leaving my plates on the table for someone to clean it up at a fast food restaurant as that's something I prefer to do myself. Overall the food here definitely fell short as I'm not into getting lukewarm food a chicken sandwich should me piping hot when you first bite into it so it's for these reasons I highly doubt that I'll ever come back.

I am absolutely disgusted by my experience with Piocos Chicken, and I am filing a complaint with…read morethe Health Department and requesting that this restaurant be inspected. I ordered food from Piocos Chicken for my daughter's FIRST birthday party--a milestone we only get to celebrate once. The food was served buffet-style as the main meal for our family and friends. Shortly after people began eating, guests started approaching me individually telling me something was wrong with the food. The food tasted old, the rice was badly burned, and we became concerned enough that we stopped serving the food altogether. One of my friends ate the chicken and shortly afterward began feeling unwell. She actually left the party early because she didn't feel well after eating it. Other guests also reported feeling sick after eating the food. Because this was supposed to be the main meal and our guests were expecting to eat, we ultimately ended my daughter's first birthday celebration early. It was humiliating and heartbreaking. You only get one first birthday, and instead of enjoying that moment with my daughter, I was apologizing to guests and worrying about the food I had served them. I intentionally did not call the restaurant during the party because I didn't want to add any more stress to my daughter's birthday. I called the following day, Sunday, and spoke with the manager, Jonathan. Jonathan told me he would look into what happened and call me back. He never called me back. I followed up, but days went by without any resolution. It wasn't until five days after the party that I finally spoke with the owner, Miguel Fontanez. That is when I was suddenly asked for "proof" and repeatedly told that I was supposedly the only person who had complained. Five days later, what exactly did they expect me to produce? My proof at that point was the people who were actually there and ate the food. My guests were willing to call the restaurant themselves and provide firsthand accounts of exactly what they ate and what they experienced so the restaurant could properly investigate. And I want to make one thing extremely clear: I NEVER ONCE ASKED FOR A REFUND. I wasn't looking for free food. I wasn't trying to get my money back. I contacted the restaurant because multiple guests independently told me something was wrong with the food, we had to stop serving it, and people reported feeling sick afterward. I believed the responsible thing to do was notify the restaurant so they could investigate what happened. Instead, I was treated as though I were lying or trying to scam them. Miguel Fontanez told me that I should have brought the food back. Again, this conversation happened FIVE DAYS after the party. I had reported the problem the very next day to his manager and was told Jonathan would investigate and call me back. Nobody told me at that time that I needed to preserve or return the food. Had Jonathan called me back as promised and told me they needed the remaining food, that would have been an entirely different situation. Instead, their lack of follow-up became my problem five days later. When I tried to explain this, rather than showing concern, listening to the guests who were willing to corroborate what happened, or simply speaking to me professionally, Miguel Fontanez yelled at me and cursed at me. That was the final straw. Restaurants make mistakes. But when a customer contacts you to report a potentially serious problem--especially when guests are reporting feeling sick--the appropriate response should be to listen, document the complaint, investigate it, and communicate with the customer. It should not be to ignore a promised callback for days and then treat the customer like a liar because she cannot produce food nobody told her to save. Because of what occurred, I am filing a complaint with the Health Department and requesting an inspection. I am not claiming that Piocos Chicken has health-code violations; that is for the appropriate authorities to investigate and determine. But based on what my guests and I personally experienced, I believe reporting it is absolutely warranted. What should have been a beautiful memory of my daughter's first birthday ended early because we no longer felt comfortable serving the food we purchased for our guests. Then I spent the following five days trying to get the restaurant to take what happened seriously, only to ultimately be yelled at and cursed at by the owner. I will never eat at Piocos Chicken again, and I would never trust them with another birthday, celebration, or important event. The food ruined the meal. The way management and ownership handled what should have been a serious customer complaint made the entire experience unforgivable.

The chicken was juicy with that signature smoky, citrus-marinated flavor that sets Campero apart from regular fast food. You could tell it was freshly grilled, not just reheated, and the seasoning had a nice balance of salt, pepper, and herbs. The sweet plantains were caramelized just right--soft on the inside, slightly crisp around the edges, and paired perfectly with the savory chicken. Portion size was generous for the price, and the service was quick and friendly. The food felt authentic and comforting, a good mix between Latin home-style cooking and casual dining. Overall, I'd highly recommend the grilled chicken combo if you want something flavorful but not greasy. It's a great choice for a quick, satisfying meal that still feels fresh and wholesome.

So one random night we came here and what I will say is they have a bunch of great values for different dinners or combos so I guess you get what you pay for but when it comes to flavor it really is just a mid piece of chicken. So I totally got a dinner box that came with 3 pieces, my choice of onion rings, and a piece of bread of this I must say the chicken was totally piping hot when I got it so that definitely was a factor of it being the better part of the meal but those onion rings were just terrible bland and frozen nothing special makes me wish I had ordered something else and the bread was just a roll nothing crazy but still made nice to add pieces of pulled off chicken to it and an onion rings to make a chicken sandwich along with some of their hot sauce drizzled on top! Overall the price is good for the amount of food you get chicken was hot but needs flavor and they were super busy but still helping everyone so I'll take that as a plus but would I go back that's a big nope as I'm really picky when it comes to fried chicken as I've had some of the best of the best!
