The chicharron had a great flavor but the "skin" wasn't that crispy and had a chewy texture. The flan wasn't that sweet and had more of a vanilla extract flavor. I didn't care for it. Overall, the food was disappointing. However, the ambiance was very lively and featured live music. The waitress wasn't the greatest. I asked for water, but she gave us a bottle of water instead - which I found out later was $4! It wasn't a fancy brand of water either. I would have appreciated a heads up that there was a cost for water, especially since tap water is usually provided for free at most restaurants. Double check your bill. An automatic 20% tip was added to the receipt (it wasn't disclosed to us), and we were not part of a group.

My curiosity got the best of me so I decided to stop by on Monday, November 21, 2022. The proprietor is from Columbia and serves dishes from his native country. I decided on his three empanada special for $8.00 and opted for a mix of chicken and beef. After a few minutes the empanadas were served piping hot with picante and tartar sauces included. The Columbian version of the empanada uses corn instead of wheat flour for its base and they were cooked to perfection. The empanadas had a crisp, light exterior with superbly seasoned chicken and beef fillings. The business owner was welcoming and friendly and I will definitely stop by in the future to try more items on his menu.

Out in parts of Texas They have chicharrones tacos which are phenom, but you don't find anything even remotely close to that where I live. That being said I ordered a chicharrones "cone" and even had some on my main platter. IN-SANE! Like seriously, what have I been eating all of my life? Whatever kind of black bean stuff they gave me is phenomenal. I ordered the Pabellon Venezolanao. Shredded beef, plantains (which I've only had maybe once or twice in my life) rice and some more chicharrones. I'm eating as I'm riding this review, and I don't know, it is just so good. I do not eat a lot of carbs, but in the rare circumstance of tonight, this was absolutely worth it.
