This a seriously amazing park! It has play structures for every age and is made out of materials…read morethat don't get crazy hot in the sun. For the biggest kids there's a mini rock wall and super cool climbing structure. There are a ton of swings and loads of benches. There's a section of benches with a canopy over it for shade and a bunch more under some nice big trees. Best of all they have a splash pad! There's a tube like thing that mists for the little ones and some big jets that shoot up for the older kids. There's also a nice walking path by a small man made pond. Before they renovated there was frisbee golf though I'm not sure if that's still there. And they also have a public restroom. My pictures won't do it justice, this park rocks!

Fun by a…read moreriver Cashman Park has been around since 1922, and was originally a place to rest and enjoy the beautiful views or the Merrimac River. It has grown over the years and still offers the lovely views but now has a wide range of activities for both kids and adults. The park has paved walking paths that go around and through the park and along the river. It also has a convenient boat launch as well as tennis, basketball, soccer, softball fields and a cute little playground for children. Lot of tables and benches make this a wonderful place for a family picnic and since it is only a short walk from the center of town a very nice place to get away from the noise and crowds of Newburyport. Lot of birds can be seen at various times on the Merrimac River including, ducks, swans, ospreys, hawks and even an occasional bald eagle. A wonderful park that has grown over the years and now offers a lot of different activities. But it's never lost the originally purpose of a quiet place of peace with great views of the river.

There are climbing sets of all types and a slides. Parking is something To take seriously as meter monitors prowl. Don't be cheap and be nailed with a ticket. They have a hurricane spinner - which I never cared for but the kids love. It's completely gated and so, pretty safe. The wall was designed to fit adult butts and is where parents sit. It's a great stop off while at the beach and free.

The corners of the floor and the corners of the play structures were filled with crumbs, dust and hair. There was old drool on the big round black tire and hairballs all over the rugs. The icing on the cake was the woman working the front desk had a young child with her, who had a gross wet cough and was coughing all over the playroom and lobby.

If you're a pet parent this is your place on the shores of the Merrimack. "Sweeties" a fan! The park is no secret to the locals because you will see them daily with their dogs. The park is 200 yards from "chain bridge" (first suspension bridge in America) in Newburyport. The 18-acre wooded park is an easy 1.1-mile loop on the Merrimack River with lots of trees for shade on hot days. Moseley offers a playground, benches, picnic tables, and porta potties. When hiking on the trails be careful of exposed tree roots and parts of the trail that can be a bit steep by the river.

If you can't provide your own bed sheets, there's a charge of $50 per bed ( you don't get to keep the sheets after extra $50 charge) I have included the text messages with the owner of this rental (Allison) $75 per person per night, no sheets on beds, and an owner that will speak to you in a VERY unprofessional manner. They were wicked friendly and more than willing to move if the fish were being picky or we were catching dog sharks. It was relaxing if nothing else. I will happily recommend them for future trips.
