I had a pair of blue jeans altered there and the stitching was terrible. The part they altered was a disaster and was uncomfortable to wear. Not sure if it was a blessing or not but the stitching gave way and I ended up just having to get rid of the jeans all together. read more

My son ripped his coat on the arm side and I called this place and the lady told me it will be ready the next day so I was happy about that but when I picked my son's coat up I couldn't believe I didn't even know which arm it was cause it looked brand new just like the other side I was really happy with their work. These folks do amazing work, and understand the concept of a thing call "service" that seems to be so lacking these days. They do amazing alteration work for both guys and gals - not unusual to see guys with work wear in here alongside moms with dance dresses. If you have wee ones, they have amazing hand made items, stuff you won't find elsewhere, and are willing to do custom work. All in all, these folks are what small, Downtown/ Mainstreet shopping is all about. read more

A great store with an "everything is handmade here" feel... from the tutus, to the swirly scarves, to the assortment of winter hats. I enjoyed my time in here as the "crafty lady" in me soaked in all the creations. The owner and her mother do alterations as well. That's a good thing to remember in case the need arises as they were both very friendly and customer service oriented. read more

Polka Dot Pandas is the Best alteration place in the area! The owner is very nice and easy to work with. I've had quite a few pants shortened here and my mother has had waistbands altered as well as zippers replaced and everything as turned out wonderfully. I love these ladies. They do incredible work and are the nicest people ever. I've had pants shortened, blouses slimmed, fasteners replaced on dress pants, and my favorite jeans saved there. I've needed a bridesmaid dress altered, said they don't do that stuff, so I found someone else, I tried calling them days in advance a week before the wedding due to needing a belt tacked onto my dress, couldn't get ahold of the business, went in and asked if they could tack or sew the belt due to me trying multiple people days before the wedding and they had to add a rude comment of that I probably won't find anyone to do it at this point in time. Not quite sure what this business does considering anything I have needed done they are unable to do. Poka dot panda def wouldn't be my first choice. read more
