Dog friendly waterfront near lighthouse and Vashon island troll. Parking limited. Picnic tables available

This is a beautiful beach park, with the added attraction of the troll. We spent a good amount of time exploring the park and then on the beach by the water. A must visit while on Vashon Island.

A beautiful beach park, with walking trails through forested areas and fields (where you can meet Oscar King of the Birds, Vashon Island's Dambo troll). The driftwood along the rocky beach is beautiful and offers wonderful spots for climbing, balancing, and relaxing, enjoying the views ahead. Many shelters have also been built and added to, giving space for seating - cool shade in the sun and heat, and weathered spaces to avoid smaller moments when the elements catch you on a walk. On this particular clear spring day, we were able to see Mount Rainier in all its glory.

Cool place to visit with awesome views of Mt. Rainier. Today was my first time visiting Vashon and although it was super cold (12 degrees with the wind chill!), I decided to walk down to see the lighthouse and spectacular view of Mt. Rainier. This is a must see when visiting the island!

This small park offers nice nature views and a small trail to walk through the woods. We visited during winter, but I can imagine this would be a prime location to visit during summer for a perfect picnic. Parking is FREE!

Visited today for a sunshine-filled, cold winter stroll with a toddler. Small park with Oscar the troll and the Point Robinson Lighthouse. We saw a couple bald eagles but didn't get lucky enough to see a whale. Easy to find and visit from Tacoma, rock throwing at the shore was a hit with the little one! Stayed about an hour and caught the ferry back home. There are lodgings that can be booked at the lighthouse! We'd love to try it sometime. Parking lot is smallish with some clean port o potties. Didn't have an issue with parking.

Lovely spot with lots of cool driftwood. Walking paths and so beautiful right next to the water. They even have the old houses where lighthouse keeps use to stay, for rent now!

A day on Vashon Island is not complete without visiting the Point Robinson Park. You gotta come and savor the coastline view and explore the small forestry area while munching those berries you passed by. Lol. Had a great time here. Picturesque and cool view with less crowd this is indeed a great spot to stop by. Shoreline is not that safe as there are lots of logging that they dump so if you're with kids keep your eyes on them. The breeze is enough to make you chill so make sure you bring your jacket/sweater with you. This is also a place for wedding goers where you can rent to celebrate your wedding memory at Vashon. And what I personally love the most is the lighthouse standing there. I feast my eyes staring on it and did a lot of photowalk around it. T'was a personal fun thing to do! Parking is available for free just make sure that you leave the place on time to avoid locking up inside the vicinity. Mahalo for reading and happy juandering fellow yeeps!

Point Robinson Park was definitely the best part of my visit to Vashon Island. The trails are well kept and the parking lot had plenty of spots. The lighthouse is really neat and overall this was a unique place to explore. Although there were quite a bit of people here when I visited it still felt very calm and peaceful. The shells on the beach are massive and so cool to look at. I highly recommend checking this spot out if you're ever in Vashon and pack food for a picnic on one of the many benches!

We enjoyed visiting Point Robinson park during our time in Vashon. We did come on a cloudy day, so did not get the views as others have described. We tried looking for wildlife out in the water, but didn't have much luck. Nevertheless, we still had a great time exploring the shore and visiting the lighthouse. It was pretty quiet with not many others.

While visiting Vashon Island, we decided to come by here to enjoy the lovely weather and enjoy some of the great views. Parking lot is decent size, but it was pretty full when we pulled up, so I just did it old school and parked on the side of the road. 2 routes to get down to the water/lighthouse, a little trail or just follow the main road. It's a pretty easy walk or stroll around the park, great views for photos, a good amount of areas to sit, picnic, build your fort with drift wood, walk on the shoreline etc. We had a decent view of Mt Rainier that day too. Lighthouse isn't super huge, but still pretty cool to look at. It was closed but looking through the windows, it looks like a small museum and history spot. There's some guest houses you can rent out as well.... right click, save in my head for the future. Overall, we enjoyed our relaxing visit and would definitely come back again!

Pros: beautiful coast, scenic lighthouse, whale trail educational post. Cons: curvy unsafe roads to get here with too many drivers pushing you down the road in unsafe weather, several unleashed dogs running around even though this park has staff onsite. Pretty concerning hazards, but a nice local stop.

Love the mini Christmas trees near this bench.

From car to ferry to car to a drive through Vashon to Maury Island is how you get here. This is a 10-acre shoreline park and a very short distance to walk around. We came by on a somewhat overcast and beautiful January day There is parking at the top and a couple ways to walk down to the bottom. We took the paved road down to the Keeper's Quarters and on to the Lighthouse. The area overlooks Mt. Rainier at a distance and is gorgeous! The lighthouse is open from May to September. The Keeper's Quarters are available for rental year round. The beach is covered in large driftwood and pebbles. I stuck my hand in the water and it was BRRR!! I don't think there is a time when the water isn't cold up here. We can easily see the Des Moines Marina at a distance. Hubby has been wanting us to paddle board across. Ha! There's a little Ship's Store Gift Shop but it was closed when we were there. It's only open seasonally. We enjoyed our time here -- walking around and enjoying the view. I do want to come back when the lighthouse is open and check it out.

Nice little park. The lighthouse wasn't open, but we got to walk around it and on the beach. Nice view, and very relaxing.
