She ripped me off. She submitted my return months late, resulting in a substantial penalty. She owned her error with regard to the state penalty and paid me a few hundred dollars. However, when the much larger federal penalty arrived (several thousand dollars), she refused to pay me, and claimed that she would get the money back. Then she did nothing. Repeated requests for her to pay me what she lost through her negligence were ignored. Avoid her unless you, too, want to be cheated. She should have zero stars. read more

I have to change my review after the last visit. They started me with a agreeable amount(400), standard in the business, to do my taxes. Now, they have many hidden fees that they don't tell you until you show up to pay them. Even after they verbally agreed to a certain price (400) up front. Then they blame or point the finger at the new software on my increase in pricing. For example, they have been charging me 400 a year for the past three years. Then they bump it to almost 600, and they even did my taxes incorrectly. I found the mistake myself and had to go back and make corrections. So be very careful when doing business with these people and get your PRICING UP FRONT IN WRITING. In business it a two way street, not a one way street at Poe's Accounting. By the way, I found a firm in that will do my taxes for 400. Good luck these people! read more

Poe's accounting services is a well oil machine. Everyone is very pleasant and works together nicely, as a team. It is a family oriented environment. Ms. Sara is very impressive with her ability to multitask and effectively manage time. She also has strong interpersonal skills and able to meet regularly, with clients. I am mostly, impressed with her ability, not to waste everyone's time on pointless analysis by stepping back and look at it from a common sense standpoint. I got my taxes filed from her last year she messed up my moms , my cousins,and my taxes. I had contacted them in the latter part of Feb. regarding my taxes. They never lead me to believe there would be any issues getting it done before taxes were due. Although, I should have taken the warning sign when I showed up for my first appointment Feb. 26th, I was informed 10 min. before my appointment time the CPA couldn't make it. But I didn't... Mid-March I was told they hadn't started on my taxes but ensured me by March 19th they would start. I didn't hear from them. So I contacted them once again and came to find out that it wouldn't be until after April 18th they could start them. REALLY... As-of-date I hadn't heard back from them - so I declined their services and now I am looking for someone that hopefully stays in contact and communicates with their customers. Very unprofessional. They started working on my taxes without telling me about paying up front. When I asked for my papers back, they said I have to pay even when they wasn't done. The worst part is when they didn't submitted all my tax papers to the IRS, so I had to wait much longer to get my refund. Find someone who knows what they're doing. read more
