Hi and I am their Elevator Inspector and today February 8 , I went there to Inspect their Elevator . I got there at 10:45 and noticed that they open at 12;00 so I figured that they must open before 12:00 and sure enough a women and younger man appeared and opened the door, I jumped at of my truck and introduced them as the Elevator Inspector and the women said I would have to wait until 1200. At that point I said the elevator is in the vestibule so I did not have to go inside. again she said no you have to wait, at that point the younger man looked at me as if to say sorry" she's the boss" I therefore I think she needs some additional training to better understand outside of her box and should have said by all means inspect our Elevator. If you are a female, dont go there they discriminate. I have never been there before I walked in got the stare down with no welcome whatsoever. Gentlemen walk in and instantly they get a warm welcome. I didnt know they had a cafe to the left and I was walking over towards to book section to find a garbage to throw out my coffee, they yelled at me. Than I went to use their computer. They yelled at me clear across the library apparently you need a pass which isnt displayed anywhere in order to use it. So I go up to take care of it. When I expressed I have never been there before and they function differently from monroe county I just didnt know the ladies literally looked at each other rolled their eyes, stared me down, and were very crude and rude to me. So I decided to talk to the supervisor/director...had to leave a message. Her reply was "I'm glad we were able to use your existing monroe library card so we were efficient with getting you a pass and not having to go through the application process." Not once apologized for her staff being rude, addressing my concern. She said I'll have to talk to my staff and see what they have to say. TOTAL BITCH OWNED library. read more
