Moved to the corner of Ramble St. and Ramble Terrace. Great fun! There is a kid's acting camp in summer, too!

What's the one thing that gives everyone apprehension about attending a dinner theater?…read more The food - right? Fear not at Hot Springs Bathhouse Theater - the food here was on point. I had two teenage boys who are BIG eaters and they said the theater buffett was their best meal of our entire trip to Hot Springs. A bunch of variety from chicken wings, to turkey to beef and chicken, plenty of awesome sides and just a ton of great food to choose from. We attended on the opening night of the Christmas Spectacular show so close to a sold-out crowd and still plenty of food - even with folks of course piling their plates to the ceiling. We thought the wait staff was fun and energetic - drinks were re-filled quickly and nice generous pours of wine. The Christmas Musical Spectacular show - was Spectacular. Beautifully acted and sung, comical and entertaining at times and poignant and heartfelt at others. Great family evening in beautiful facility and great wholesome entertainment!

Because he was so excited to go, we arrived as soon as the doors opened. They have a lovely beer and wine lounge. I definitely needed a drink. The staff were all very lovely. They really made you feel welcome. I wasn't expecting that. And then pure magic happened. A very nice lady brought me chocolate cake. Black Forest cake in a little cup. It was delicious! I bought a some of that delicious chocolate cake all decked out in a wine glass. I was quite happy. When the show started, many of the employees that were serving us, were part of the show. They love what they do, which is to make people happy. I liked the music. I liked the dancing. I liked the jokes. I liked the audience interaction. I even liked the magic. I left happy. Warning: the magician likes to throw lots of things at the audience. If you rather not get hit, go for row E and beyond.

If you go in with the expectation to have a good time, you will. Is Maxwell the best illusionist we have seen? no; however, his personality & love of the art is palpable. He does play some Elton John covers and tells a lot of stories, which I really find enjoyable. The people in charge of the sound could really help TONS by getting the kinks worked out. The music is so loud at times that it is miserable. The volume drowns out the pleasure of the intent. I would recommend, as long as you go in with an open mind and understand that it's a bit of a variety show....not a Vegas level production.

Review- Live plays are performed here, but it's not really a dinner theater per se. They do serve light snacks and drinks. It's a lot of fun and the environment is intimate...there's no concern about not being able to hear etc. it's accessible for wheelchairs and walkers. We have enjoyed each performance immensely. It's fun to bring family from out of town to a performance. Two shows we enjoyed were Million Dollar Quartet and one more recently performed by military veterans and family members. We are always inspired by the talent of the performers; those who performed in Million Dollar Quartet did all the singing, acting and performing with the musical instruments...it was really inspiring and highlighted the home-grown musical talent originating in this part of the US. As for the show on Veteran's Day, we were surprised by the raw honesty of the performance...we were expecting a run-of-the-mill show highlighting all the heroes and instead got a much more gritty, raw, and truthful look at the reality of service...both of the veterans and their families. Some of it was hard to watch/hear, but that was the beauty of the performance. We agree with one cast member/family member, the military needs to update the word "dependent" to something a little more positive. Ha ha. Definitely recommend. What I'd like to see in the future: - Saturday afternoon performances geared strictly toward kids of different ages...a child's theater that is not for child performers, but for adults performing g for children. A musical for children would be great and I feel like it may inspire a child to pursue the arts in their future.

From the owner: From the Executive Director:…read more The Arts & Science Center is an intersection of arts, science, and performing arts--bringing people together for exhibitions, hands-on art and science activities, theater, and music--serving as a cultural gathering place for people who might, otherwise, never cross paths. Think of The Center as a magnet for creativity, critical thinking, and lifelong learning. Art exhibitions feature the work of Arkansas artists, art of the Delta, and art by African American artists. Community gathers to meet the artists at openings where ArtKrewe volunteers host receptions in the tradition of true Southern hospitality. Artists often give free art workshops during 2nd Saturday Family FunDays--exceptional opportunities to meet and learn from artists firsthand. Science exhibitions come to us through partnership in the Arkansas Discovery Network which is funded by the Donald W. Reynolds Foundation. Science exhibitions are also free and 2nd Saturday Family FunDays alternate hands-on art and science for young and old. We provide a venue and activities that encourage inter-generational learning and play. Many of our science activities originate from the best science museums in the United States: San Francisco's Exploratorium, Science Museum of Minnesota, and Oregon's Museum of Science and Industry.
