I read about Tiny Town in book entitled 100 things to do in "Hot Springs before you Die". So i put…read moreit on the iteniary while visiting. It is a very old building and an elderly lady was working when we attended. She took our admission fee, turned on the lights and ushered us into the viewing room. It is a 65 year old display of numerous scenes that a single man crafted from discarded materials and wood carvings. I thought it was fascinating. There was a carnival scene, with a working carousel and ferris wheel with hand carved people in them, an Indian village with a dying cowboy with an arrow through his heart, a replica of Mt Rushmore, a dog getting ready to attack a cat, trains cruising around, an Andy Griffith scene, mountains and waterfalls, a man swimming, kids on swings and seesaws and OH so much more. There were so many moving parts, so many intricacies to see and ponder. The lady guided us part of the way (she had a very soft voice, and with the background noise of the moving parts it was almost impossible to understand her) but you could tell ahe was passionate about the display which was sweet). She then let us to walk around at our leisure. There are signs to read and buttons to push to make certain object either move or light up, while some of the display is in constant motion. We spent about 30 to 40 minutes in the depot so it doesn't take a long time to see but it was worth the $8 admission fee. Free street parking right outside the depot and a small gift shop.

They also have alligator feedings on certain days. The zoo has wolves, raccoons, alligators, peacocks, and a few other animals for guests to enjoy. For the petting zoo portion, there are goats, emus, birds, turtles, and rabbits you can feed. You can even hold and feed a baby alligator! Arkansas Alligator Farm and Petting Zoo has been around for decades, and it shows in a few areas. There are a few enclosures that could use some updates. Other than that, I definitely recommend this place if you're in town.

Who does that? Anywhere else, they'd just say, "Sorry" and too bad if it doesn't work out! Then, we came there for the show, not expecting good food, but boy were we in for a surprise! They had a full buffet with tons of the-best-home-cooked-dishes and EVERYTHING was Delicious! My plate was full way before I reached the end of the line and everything looked so good that I couldn't help but pile more on and I felt so guilty when I sat down because I thought, "There's no way I can eat half of this stuff..." I was wrong. It all was so tasty that I had no problem cleaning my plate!!! Then, the show started. We, (my wife and I), are super fans of John Denver and have listened to his songs over and over since we were kids back in the late sixties/ early seventies. We decided to go listen to Roy Rivers's "Tribute to John Denver". What a wonderful decision! This guy knew John Denver, sang with JD's band multiple times in concert, recorded "Thank God I'm a Country Boy" with Dolly Pardon for a number one hit, plays John Denver's music expertly and sings just like him! He is a real live Arkansas country boy and lives right here in Hot Springs. He has all kinds of interesting, funny and entertaining stories that he weaves into his show. What a wonderful experience!!! The best in Hot Springs and better than anything that I have ever seen anywhere!!! We are so lucky to have this Hot Springs Bathhouse Theatre. It's a "Must See" for sure!!!

I had two teenage boys who are BIG eaters and they said the theater buffett was their best meal of our entire trip to Hot Springs. A bunch of variety from chicken wings, to turkey to beef and chicken, plenty of awesome sides and just a ton of great food to choose from. We attended on the opening night of the Christmas Spectacular show so close to a sold-out crowd and still plenty of food - even with folks of course piling their plates to the ceiling. We thought the wait staff was fun and energetic - drinks were re-filled quickly and nice generous pours of wine. The Christmas Musical Spectacular show - was Spectacular. Beautifully acted and sung, comical and entertaining at times and poignant and heartfelt at others. Great family evening in beautiful facility and great wholesome entertainment!
