I sat and waited as there was no one else around. Several employees went back and forth (never stopping to ask if I was being helped). Eventually the person waiting before me as helped. I continued to wait for the woman at the desk to become available. Finally, someone returned to the desk that was vacant. Although she never asked me if I wa being helped or needed help, I approached her and informed her that I was waiting to open an account. Her response was, "oh, we're closed!" I told her I had been waiting for the last 25 minutes. She told me that there was a sign in sheet that "goes away at 4:30" so, I can't be seen. However; I was free to come back and just go to a teller next time. I had several problems with this encounter: 1. I was under the impression this was a small community bank and they would be more attentive. When going to a big bank, I have always had someone ask me what I need help with and where I had to go. Considering that I was the only one there, this was not a far fetched expectation. 2. The bank closes at 5:00, but no one is helped if they arrive after 4:30? If that is the case, a dig should be posted. 3. There should be signs directing consumers if signing in is expected. 4. The woman who returned to the desk made the man in front of me wait to be let out as she sat at her desk. I was very disappointed with my experience there and no longer have a desire to do business with them.

The website and online banking are super plain and basic, no mobile app - but online bank opens fine. You get access to a network of CO-OP banks and free atms especially at 711/Walgreens/CVS with 0 fees! They helped me rebuild my credit and in less then 1 year, I now qualify for line of credit (store card/financing) with the same very big bank that denied me last year after using them for 10years! liberty savings is the real deal, i visit the union city office - Maria, Karen, and Carlos are the best, sure the wait can be long but the benefits outweigh the wait. They will make you wait over an hour to get something notarized with the excuse that you did not make an appointment . I was under the impression, that if you are a business account holder or a regular checking account holder, Chase bank is supposed to let you get something notarized for free.

Excuse me for wanting to ask a question to get something done! She said she was there today. I asked if I needed an appointment (because they usually do). She sighed exasperatedly and said she was busy all day unless I could come right now. So when were you intending to actually say that Jennifer? What if I came and you were booked? When I arrived I asked the front desk person for the notary. She said "we don't have a notary". Huh? I explained that I called. She said, "oh if Jennifer said to come then ok you can wait. She's here. She just took someone though." So instead of saying the notary was busy, you lie and say there isn't one?? I was sitting and waiting while I overheard Jennifer with her appointment (the cubicle had no walls which is problematic if you are discussing sensitive banking information). They chatted about trains and families. I also heard the same woman who lied about not having a notary saying, "I don't know why she told anyone to come, we have other customers." Ummm, am I not a customer? And there was literally no one else besides the lady who wound up coming in before me. The only nice one who was consistently courteous & professional was the guy at the front desk. Overall, kind of disappointed with the customer service.
