Tammy was very quick and excellent about getting back to me during the process. I had never heard of this place prior to hearing of it from a local builder. I researched the company and found nothing but excellent reviews throughout the country. Excellent mortgage company, I will recommend them to anyone looking for a mortgage broker. FYI: We used the VA loan product and this company was very knowledgeable with the VA loan (Thank goodness for a hubby with retired military service... that VA loan is the SHIIIZZNITT).

They have always been patient in educating us as first-time home buyers, and we never questioned that they were working in our best interest. They quickly ran many different scenarios and provided pre-approval letters for us on multiple properties that didn't come through, and finally for the house where our offer was accepted. One of the reasons we went with Chris and his team was their extensive experience and deep knowledge related to renovation loans (203k and HomeStyle) and conventional non-renovation loans, which gave us flexibility to switch to a different type of loan if the home we are purchasing did not end up qualifying for a non-renovation loan. We appreciated them expediting the appraisal, which was critical for this determination and luckily resulted in what we were hoping for. We always received quick, helpful, and easy to understand responses from Chris and Bryce, even on evenings, weekends, and Father's Day. Our loan was fully approved in about 2.5 weeks, even with a 5 week closing timeline. The rate we received was highly competitive. We have had absolutely zero complaints or hiccups throughout many, many months of working with Chris and the team, and we would unquestionably recommend Chris to friends and use him again.

I declined because I didn't want another hard inquiry and I was already dealing with a lender who had programming available to assist with down payment and closing cost. The program I was specifically qualified for and interested in is called the Chinoa Program. I told my Ryan sales person this. SAMANTHA P. from NVR Mortgage, the approved lender of Ryan Homes, called me and told me that SHE DEALS WITH & HAS THE CHINOA PROGRAM. She went on to tell me how she could still use the Chinoa program and I could take advantage of the perks from using NVR. A few days later I called the Chinoa program with additional questions, only to learn that neither NVR, nor Samantha P. are approved lenders. This lady blatantly lied and got a hard hit on my credit report. When I sent an email, she responded "Currently NVR is not on their approved lender list however we have a product development team that coordinates with programs such as this to get us added to the list." I emailed several executives about the matter and they have been very responsive. I went to meet with the salesperson again and I was told by a branch manager that Samantha would be there for the meeting and would be apologizing. Samantha was there, didn't participate in the meeting and definitely didn't apologize. INTEGRITY IS THE ISSUE HERE. A lender that misleads, manipulated, doesn't own responsibility, yet all of her colleagues rant about her being GREAT. It just seems that from the beginning NVR has not HEARD me. Whether it was my need for down payment /closing assistance or how their employee offended me. Sad truth. NVR has not made my first time home buying experience GREAT !!!
