The following two emails were sent to Motto Mortgage leadership (never received reply to either):…read more #1 To Whom It May Concern: I have an unfortunate story I must share will you. My husband, ***, and I have been in the first-time home buyers process for approximately six weeks. The process itself is exhaustive and the professional experience with your employee, Steven Levitt, has been disturbing. Thursday, December 6 @1700: Stephen Levitt threw papers at my husband and verbally assaulted him in the Motto Mortgage office yelling, "Good, walk away, you'll save me 30 minutes from sending papers" Friday, December 7 @1250: Stephen Levitt walked out of the front door of the Motto Mortgage office building towards our truck yelling: "Jesus Christ, you two, it's not this hard" (lady sitting at front desk witnessed outburst); I said, "Stephen, you need to stop. I am the customer and I will call your boss." He, still yelling, replied, "I don't give a crap, call him!" Monday, December 10 @1011: Stephen Levitt (after he was told we have no internet) called my husband to tell us how to "print screen" (insulting and offensive) -- when, again, I stated, "We don't have internet," Stephen Levitt yelled, "Jesus Christ, Jen, can I talk!" I have time-stamped emails and text messages as supporting documentation of Stephen Levitt's continued unprofessional, rude, and inconsistent communication and behavioral pattern. We have been yelled at numerous times, including once in daylight in the parking lot of your business, with profanity (including taking our God's name in vane). Is this standard business practice for Motto Mortgage? Is this how the employees of Motto Mortgage have been trained to conduct business in its name and treat customers? We are not happy and, honestly, my mind is blown. I believe the concerns with Stephen Levitt need to be addressed, immediately. Lastly, we had been scheduled for closing and moving on Friday, December 7 for approximately one month. We were notified Wednesday late evening, December 5 (less than 36 hours out from closing) it wasn't happening. I had to spend Thursday morning "undoing" what I had been planning for two weeks. As I'm writing you, Monday, December 10, the closing has, yet again, been delayed. I'm now, again, canceling movers, installations, etc. for the second time. We have lost money. My family has been without power and sitting in an empty house surrounded by boxes for several days. I strongly believe, at this point, the continued delayed closing has become personal and vindictive with Stephen Levitt. I would like for the senior leadership of Motto Mortgage to become involved. Also, I would like to start the dialogue on restitution for my family. As a fellow business professional, you know "word-of-mouth" is the most powerful form of marketing. Unfortunately, my husband and I will be telling the nightmare of an experience we've had with Stephen Levitt and Motto Mortgage for years. Please let me know what you can do to soften the blow we have experienced with your employee and company. #2 Stephen Levitt called (interestingly, we've been communicating with him through text messages until he suddenly doesn't want a paper trail of what he has said) my husband at 8:22 PM last night. He proceeded to say, "Your wife sent an email about me to get me in trouble. Just so you know, I'm highly respected and your wife's word means nothing." Please know, at some point, Stephen Levitt will claim we've only been 90% with him the whole time. This has been his standard line of defense throughout our relationship with him. I have text messages and emails when I had to frequently remind him we have already provided what he's asking for now, days prior. Again, I'll ask, is this standard business practice for Motto Mortgage? Is this how the employees of Motto Mortgage have been trained to conduct business in its name and treat customers? How does the employee against whom the complaint was made call to, more or less, harass/threaten the customer before his immediate supervisors have responded? It's a sad day for Motto Mortgage. I'll be writing complaints/reviews to the BBB, etc., accordingly. Lastly, and I hope this email is read by someone with empathy and compassion -- and passion for their work. What should have been an exciting, joyous life event for my family has been an anxious, tumultuous nightmare. My husband's, my daughters', and my joy were stolen by Stephen Levitt and the experience will never be remembered favorably.
