I have been trying to track down my money for seven months and after inviting this letter, they apologized and said that there was a mistake, but it was quickly corrected, but I don't understand how it was corrected if I have a missing almost $2000 out there in the world. "I wanted to resolve an issue than has been very frustrating and gone on too long. I had an account through Pony Studios and I was told that the plan had stopped. I had my financial advisor reach out and get a check of the funds to roll over into another account. We got a check for $7,376.93. Months later I get a statement saying that I have a balance of $2,055.22. After I logging on and seeing this, I get an email a few days later with a document stating a bunch of fees and Termination of Employment that basically takes the fund to $0. I called TRowe only to be talked to rudely and basically yelled at and told that any accounts that were under $2,000 TRowe doesn't deal with, and they were transferred to some other bank (without me being notified or provided any account number) I was given a phone number to call someone in Utah about it?? This number has no answering message or info and just beeps. I have left a few voicemails. (If this number is even real) Now I have received a 1099R statement showing a rollover of 9,307. I never received that additional $1930.71 I have attached the screenshots of the info I am referencing. I don't even understand how any of this can be legal and I need this resolved ASAP. I want the $1930.71 to be returned to me I am beyond furious."

I am always proactive to call early, so I called about 5 times throughout the year to get my money back and they said I had to wait 365 days. Then when I called on the 365 day, of course now all of a sudden they just said they fulfilled the guarantee and there's nothing they can do about it. Wow... at least tell me that on the phone with the other 5 customer service people stringing be along. I never leave reviews like this, ever, I almost always give 5 star reviews in fact, but this company was absolute BS! Don't deal with this company and beware of their BS sleepy marketing tactics, they don't deliver and are dishonest. Save yourself the expense.

They advertise as being available 24/7, but I had to call them multiple times and sit on hold for over an hour EACH TIME waiting for an E-Trade representative. When I finally got through to someone who could tell me what was going on, they asked if anyone had signed into my account other than myself. I told them I didn't know, because this was true. As it turns out, the friend who helped me set up the account signed in without my knowledge. Nothing unethical was done. He was simply trying to help me without my realizing it. E-Trade then told me that no one should sign into my account except me. Then they had me update my username and password. They assured me that after resetting my username and password, my account should be good. But I discovered a couple of weeks later that they had made a decision to no longer allow me to trade, as well as to close my account, forcing me to find another brokerage firm and possibly liquidate my stocks. When I asked them the reason for this, since they'd told me previously that everything was good with my account, they told me they didn't have to provide a reason. What a load of crap. Since my stocks are fairly new, having to liquidate them would put me in the position of own tax on capital gains. So I'm presently in the process of transferring my stocks. I hate E-Trade. If you're looking for a firm that will be fair, honest and transparent in the way the do business, don't work with E-Trade.

My boyfriend and I rented an apartment with JRA Investment Group in Baltimore, MD on June 1, 2013…read more Upon move-in, the apartment was a mess; caked on grease and rodent feces in the kitchen, dirt on the windowsills and mantles etc. This was AFTER the landlord (JRA) hired a "reputable" cleaning service. Regardless, we just finished the cleaning ourselves because we wanted to settle in. After around a month of tenancy, issues arose back home in Illinois for me, so for personal reasons my boyfriend and I came to the decision to move to Illinois. We notified the landlord 30 days prior of our decision to break the lease and vacate on August 1 and he informed us that our only duty was to find a new tenant. We immediately posted an ad on Craigslist, Reddit and spread the word through friends; we showed the apartment to 10-15 potential new tenants. A couple from Chicago, who sent their friends to view the apartment on their behalf, decided to apply. They passed the credit check and gave a deposit to the landlord, securing the apartment. Both the landlord and the new tenant communicated to us, through email, of the approval and that we were in the clear to take the posting down. I should also add that during this whole process the landlord was extremely difficult to reach and often went 3-5 days before responding to an email or phone call which was frustrating and unprofessional, to say the least. Come move out day, JRA informs us it had "slipped their mind" to come for the move-out inspection, as we had previously scheduled for that morning, and we were informed to just leave the keys on the counter and that as long as the apartment was clean (it was) we would receive our security deposit by mail within 45 days. The next day, after arriving in Illinois, we receive an email from the landlord informing us that after the walk-through with the new tenants (who had seen over 15 photos of the apartment as well as a video that their friends had taken) the couple had decided the apartment wasn't what they imagined and would not be signing the lease and moving in that day as planned. I just want to emphasize that this decision was not based on cleanliness, but only because of some apparent confusion on their end. The landlord then told us that we would be held responsible for paying rent until a new tenant was found and that our security deposit would not be returned, as they were keeping it in place of rent for that month. They had not only previously stated to us that we were in the clear and that the responsibility of the unit had shifted to the new tenant but they even had turned down other applicants who were interested in the unit. If anyone should've been responsible for finding a new tenant, it should've been the couple who had put down a deposit to secure the unit and, therefore, assumed responsibility from that point forward, not us. Maryland tenant law states that a security deposit can not be retained based on anything but PHYSICAL damages to the unit and in the case that it is retained, a letter stating the reason must be sent to the former tenant within 45 days. The 45-day mark has come and gone with no letter and we've tried working with JRA multiple times to resolve this issue but they refuse to cooperate. We even sent a demand letter citing the specific clause in tenant law pertaining to this case but they still will not admit responsibility for their negligence. Neither my boyfriend or I have the time or finances to hire an attorney and take off work to travel to Baltimore for small claims court, so at this point all we can do is move on and cut our losses. But we both felt that it was important to warn others against renting from JRA Investment Group - not only based on their difficult, unprofessional nature but also their noncompliance with the law. We have been sick with stress ever since moving out and really disappointed in the company and the events that have transpired since then. A little humanity goes a long way and we're just sad to have experienced what being completely taken advantage of feels like. So please, save yourself the stress and rent from a law-abiding landlord.
