Not only was I able to get the diamond I wanted, but the setting my fiancee absolutely loved was on Blue Nile (and a special order). The setting on Blue Nile was literally three times what The Gold Standard would offer for the same exact design, making me ecstatic to save that much money! I did upgrade from white gold to platinum, which was reasonably more, but they were able to craft the ring that was wanted. They offer the same guarantee of polishing and adjustments as Blue Nile, so there is literally no difference, except that I saved money on the setting (and can directly drive here if I ever need to send back for a polish/adjustment).
