While Stowford Press cider isn't really something I tend to drink in the UK, it makes for something a bit different when encountering it abroad. Serves snacks. Prices are extremely reasonable! Staff speaks English/ Dutch and German! Cash is a must unless you have a local bank card!! The bar tenders are great

Very attentive but casual staff, and good quality food make this place a great spot for a casual…read moremeal. I was in Stolberg just for 1 day and had dinner here. They were very busy (clearly a popular local place) and managed to find a small table at the bar that worked well for my table of one. The garlic bread was simple but effective with nice tomato slice, shredded red cabbage and parsley sprinkled around - it tasted better than it sounds. The I went for a mushroom schnitzel. Wow. Fresh salad greens on the side (spring mix for those of us from the US), and beautifully cooked schnitzel with a wonderful mushroom cream sauce made this a wonderful dish. The fries were quite good too, but the schnitzel filled me up so I didn't have space to finish the meal (it was large). Nor did I have space for dessert. For a casual meal with a cold beer or whatever, this was a fun place to eat at. And the staff went out of their way to help this non-German speaking guest.
