For the ones gobbling up the coins she either gave me a coin back or put a coin in the machine to see if it would work (one time it did). Not a great experience. Not a lot of good games.

My boyfriend grew up in a bucolic small New England town that had an arcade by a lake that was the towns only source of entertainment and hang out for the kids. So coming here was nostalgic and brought back a lot of memories and we had an absolute blast here! Whenever I or we come to London, we make sure Las Vegas is something we have pre-planned and set aside some time for. My previous trip to London we came here no less than three different times because there was simply -that- much fun to be had. They care about their machines and they care about the people coming there. For the amount of people the come through here, it's exceptionally clean Las Vegas isn't just the best arcade in London, I've traveled across Europe and beyond and Las Vegas really sets the standard and is by far the best arcade around. I only my corner of the world (Rhode Island) would have a place like Las Vegas.

Joining the prestigious ranks of Namco Funscape, Las Vegas Soho and The Four Quarters ; VEGA London (as it is known) is located in the basement of a building known from the outside as VEGAS. It represents the building's video game arcade section (the ground level floor is populated with gambling machines, in a similar setup to the Las Vegas arcade in Soho). VEGA London is a miniature arcade, yes, but what it lacks in size it more than makes up for with in-demand arcade titles. Combine this with being situated in one of the most achingly cool neighborhoods in Central London (Angel, Islington) and you begin to appreciate what a formidable little pocket rocket this awesome little venue is. The community side of things (among other bits) is taken care of by Josh Chichon, who is well known in the gaming community for his similiar work at premier Southend arcade Astro City. He has this to say to local 3DS fans ; "I would love for people who own a 3DS and live nearby to feel welcomed and stop by just to pick up a few StreetPass hits whenever they spend ten minutes inside the arcade, that way there's always something there for everyone". It is basically an arcade with some old school games and a little bar area believe it or not! lol (+) Was really cool seeing the mega sized Galaga game, since I loved playing that at the arcade as a kid in the 80's. (+) those crane machines are stupid fun and we ended up winning a couple of the plushes. lol Again, just stupid fun. :) (-) place was not very clean and actually kind of gross in spots (-) a lot of the machines were down and not operating including that Galaga game I would have LOVED to play (boo.) (-) Yelp! check in offered 2 free euro tokens to use for machines (no cash value). I decided what the hell since we were there killing time until we could get in line to ride the London Eye. Sheesh. I had to really jump through some hoops to get the 2 tokens lol. Sign up for wifi, click this, sign right here.... ...and then they only worked on select games and definitely NOT the crane machines, which is what we were there playing and spending our money on! Definitely wasn't worth the hassle. Again though, we were killing time ATM. (-) the blood curdling shrieks of kids in repeated succession can be too much to bear here at times lol no. I am 1000% f*cking serious...but I guess it IS an arcade... This could be a lot better if they would clean the place up and fix the machines. In the hustle and bustle of touristy Westminster and the South Bank today, I saw lots of families…read morewith happy smiley faces in the morning, which had started to look a little weary and in need of a rest. Namco Station is a little potential lifesaver for parents needing a quick break. It's located in the old County Hall building but has an unassuming entrance.It has 3 floors of perfect kiddie entertainment providing you have the cash to feed the machines. There's dodgems and bowling for all the family. Kids will have fun on the video games though I did spot a granny having a go at Dance Revolution! The lowest floor has pool tables and a little restaurant for food and drink - mostly fast food style and cafe fare, I saw adverts for private karaoke but I'm not sure how that operates. I do miss some of the older games but I'm always up for a few bumps in dodgems

We visited Immersive Gamebox today and we played the Alien Aptitude game experience! We had so much…read morefun. It is located very close to Southwark Tube Station and to Nando's. We checked in and our greeter was fantastic! They also have plenty of lockers to store belongings in. The waiting area is nice too and there is a wide choice of drinks available. The box that we played in was fantastic and the screens were excellent and really interactive. There are four different games included in the Alien Aptitude experience and every single game was so fun to play! Each game was so thoughtfully designed . The rules for each game was explained clearly and presented in a way that wasn't overwhelming. We had such a great time and the time goes so quickly! The gif at the end is so fun to make as well! Thank you so much to Immersive Gamebox for giving us an A+ experience and we cannot wait to return for many more happy memories. I would highly recommend visiting Immersive Gamebox.

Like all other pre-teens and teens, they love to game. I joined them during the gaming session, which was about 1.5 hrs for both games, Tetris and Squid Games! Note that you will be moving around your space quickly. Jumping, stepping forward, backward, side to side, and toucing the walls as you play. You will get thirsty. No problem! They offer drink order and delivery to the room where you have a shelf to keep your drinks. Personal items: You can not keep on the floor or room with you. They will get in the way. No worries. They provide free lockers. It has been 2 days, and we are still talking about the fun we had there. Tried to get another trip in but may miss out. However, I learned there is one in Los Angeles, Ca. Will absolutely make the drive up from San Diego, Ca, (~2 hours) to play again! Thanks for the amazing family memories!

I love this place! Can't believe it isn't already listed!…read more Many moons ago it was hidden away in the lower part of Covent Garden as part of a bigger collection. Then it closed and it moved away to Southwold then, a year or so ago, this smaller collection returned to London and just a 5 minute walk from Holborn Station it is still hidden away. It's sort of hard to explain but, in essence, it is a collection of freaky deaky 'Under the Pier' style arcade amusements with a twist. The website says 'Arcade of satirical home-made machines' which is probably a better description. These fabulous, interactive, art works are the worst of Tim Hunkin. Never heard of him? Bet you have... He is the presenter of the 'Secret Life of...' Programmes and also the designer of the gallery in he basement of the Science museum. You pay for tokens (various deals available) then play the various games. Some of the games are for 2 players and others for single players so use your tokens wisely. There are between 15-20 machines on display and I am going to list some of the names and describe to pique your interest: Money Laundering - You manoeuvre a crane to pick up cash from the bottom to the top of a skyscraper without the city bods seeing you from the windows. Microbreak - If you are in need of a holiday and strapped for cash then this could be the one for you... Sit in the chair, watch the screen and get all the bits of a holiday in five minutes without the pesky sun getting involved. No passport required. Divorce - Make the couple separate and see what happens. Pet or Meat - Spin the wheel and decide the fate of an adorable lamb. Autofrisk - Spread your legs and take the position... This is happening! Expressive Photo Booth - (Seats 2) Your standard booth with a twist! You can take the pics home as a souvenir. Test your nerve - A fake rabid dog can be as scary as a real one... How brave are you? Is it art? - Place any object in the machine and it will tell you. My iPhone was but my friends Samsung not so much... I'm saying nothing! The Chiropodist - Eww... Just put your shoe free foot in and you will see what I mean. There are many more but I think these are my favourites. They also have guest machines housed here too. You can easily kill an hour here and it is great fun so if you are looking for something different to do you just found your next spot to visit!

The Novelty Automaton exhibition is demonstrative of the quirky side of London and should not be…read moremissed, so make sure you plan a visit before word spreads. We visited on a Saturday afternoon and it was buzzing with families and hipsters alike and most machines required a short wait to use (depending on how beguiling and visually intriguing they were). There are about 15 automaton machines designed by Tim Hunkin to have a go on, most functioning like short, interactive arcade games. They require tokens, which we purchased from an unkempt youth in a creepy bellhop uniform, so this is not a free activity (we easily spent a tenner in twenty minutes because we were so caught up in the fervor). The venue is quite bijoux and it will easily become difficult to maneuver around the machines if it gets too busy, so it is worth perhaps going at an awkward time to ensure that you get to see everything. Some of the highlights included The Expressive Photobooth, Cycle Pong and My-Nuke, but each of the automatons ooze their own special eccentric character and some are even modern social comments, so this isn't your (great) grandfather's Victorian pier amusement arcade. This is a highly recommend atypical afternoon activity and very good for a chuckle.

Cash machines are everywhere, as well as the more traditional slot machines (the subtle difference is slot machines don't really have lots of fun scenarios if you hit certain pictures/numbers... it's more or less spin, spin, spin and hope to get lucky!) and even a very classy roulette wheel, donned on all sides by little computer terminals where you place your bets on. Their is an automatic croupier that shoots/spins the ball around the wheel as opposed to having it done on a screen and this, (as someone who enjoys gambling), gives it a much more authentic feel. There are all kinds of arcade games available as well if gambling isn't your thing and you want some competition with your mates. The staff are helpful (I asked for change and the lady took my money, went to a self-service change machine and bought my money back instead of pointing me in the direction) and there are enough types of machines to keep anyone interested. As far as gambling dens go, this is a classy one!
