Over the last 40 years we have developed a "list of the usual suspects" but leave room to rotate new options based on recommendations or scrambles our guys have played in. Last summer Crown Hill was added and I can say it has replaced another of our regular courses. It's a nice and fair layout that makes you think about your choices but leaves room to scramble for a saved par or bogie. The staff was friendly and the course in great shape. We will be back this summer!

As it pertains to the golf facility/driving range: 1.) You…read morewill pay a 30-40% premium on the golf balls. 18$ for 60 balls. In Canal, it's 18$ for over 100. 2.) If you are a new player, and prefer using the driving range, to develop a nice swing, it will often "be closed" (despite the fact you see other people using it.) Even if it's not personal, it FEELS personal. 3.) The driving range is very small / short, hence it is irons only. 4.) The facility has that "1980's country club" feel, where most of the people seem snobby & stuck-up, despite the fact it is in "Hicktown, Ohio." This place is EXCEEDINGLY FORTUNATE there are no other ranges/course combination within 30 miles.

This is a nice country club although bit cramped for large events in terms of parking. I think you can find this in most local Central Ohio country clubs as they only have so much space. I usually come for the Made Local events here and the ballroom event room is stunning but parking is just congested outside. Everyone is coming and they don't realize country clubs don't hold that much space for guests in terms of parking. I guess I will have to come back to try Cimi's Bistro. I'm sure there are more amenities at this country club with those who have membership here. It must be lovely. I will be back soon.

I just expect more from a very expensive country club than pay us, here's the venue... good luck. As part of the wedding party we were at the venue starting at like 1pm for a 5pm wedding and i just didn't really see anyone from the venue much. I would just think they'd have more of an interest in the wedding going smoothly, but ... again, I'm not a wedding venue expert. The venue itself was fine, outdoor bar was cool. The beauty I think came from the table-scapes, which was designed by the bride and put together by the family, again, why I give 4 stars. Reception was fine... put on by the venue. Room was really nothing special, not decorated or anything pretty. The food was good. The bar was tiny and in the back, hard to get to when there's a decent amount of people. Overall, I think they could have done more, been more present and really went above and beyond, which... from my perspective they didn't.
