His normal place sent him a last minute email that they had accidentally overbooked and he would be waitlisted. By last minute, I mean 30 mins before we were going to leave and drop him off. In a panic, we found Country Acres, who was able to take him last minute. They are incredible kind and patient, despite us getting every piece of information wrong. We knew his pup was in good hands, because all of the handlers we met were so nice and understanding, and at pick up explained he had actually ran out of food in the morning and they supplemented. The facility is extremely well maintained, offers additional services to really make your furry family member feel at home or pampered.

Williamsburg was one place recommended to me. When I visited, I felt very good about the facility and people. The facility was very clean, well organized and staffed. Everyone seemed genuinely interested in the animals under their care. My dog certainly seemed to enjoy her stays (and for a time she was there more than she was at home). She came to know the staff and was always happy to see them. The staff knew her and always treated her so nicely. She was always happy to arrive and just as happy when I came home. While I no longer travel as much, Williamsburg remains the place I trust to take care of my dog. She always seems happy to see the staff and I've been very happy with the service I have received.

The cut is uneven, particularly around her face, which appears choppy and not well blended. Her paws were also not cleaned up to the standard I expected. The areas of greatest concern are her armpit and belly, which were shaved extremely close. Her skin appeared irritated afterward, and there is a small area on her belly that looks consistent with a minor nick from the blade. I spoke with management to address these concerns and am currently requesting a refund based on the result and condition of the grooming. Overall, I am not satisfied with the service provided. If you have a long-haired or double-coated breed, I recommend clearly confirming grooming expectations in advance.

We tried one other that seemed ok but you know when sometimes something just feels off? So I asked & our vet recommended Silver Maple instead...best thing ever. My first glimpse of how genuinely they care for our dogs was how nicely he goes in (tail is still down but he readily goes in after being greeted like Norm from Cheers). One time he got sick just before our Xmas vacation. He had only been on his meds for 2days before I had to drop him off but they have their system down to a science. It's simple but it's one they are clear on so there are no mistakes. Pam even called me to tell me she found throw up in his crate but wondered if giving him his meds with food would be less caustic & help him feel better...thoughtful & considerate problem solver & diplomatically explained! During that same boarding we were snowed in on the mountains in CO & couldn't get back on time. Not only did Pam accommodate but she also made sure he had enough of his meds. She genuinely loves animals & will go to bat for them. Communication & planning is key. If you'll be traveling over the holidays, book early. Always pack extra food & Rx in case it gets dropped or don't pack enough food. They took a Chewy delivery of food bc I stupidly didn't count out the correct numbers of cans. Cost-wise, we have found it to be very much worthwhile bc we absolutely know he's in good hands. When I pulled up to the farm you didn't hear any barking. When I walked in to the office there wasn't an aroma of urine or bleach. They took me back to the kennels and there were blankets and beds in them and the dogs were calm and again no smell. I was homing a senior dog that was an owner surrender and Pam jumped right in and found a wonderful home for him. Don't hesitate to board your furry family members here. We just took our dog here for a "meet and greet" the other day. and everyone was so friendly and welcoming, especially the manager Kiersten. They introduced our dog to the other dogs and let him play for about 6 hours. Do not willingly send your dog to this location of No Leash Needed…read more We did puppy preschool at the Hampton location and everyone was great. He learned quickly and was always happy to go. So when I tried to book him for a 4 night boarding there, I was disappointed but felt confident another location would be just as good. I can't believe how wrong I was... Sobek (my 5month old pup) goes to day camp 3-4x/week and has never been this dirty in his life. Even after a whole month! After just 4 days here he came back with his fur on the edge of matting, smelly, with signs he had peed himself and not been cleaned after. His eyes were caked with tears to the point one could not fully open. His tail had a clear spot of matted hair where he'd been chewing too! When they took him out front to me, his harness was not properly tightened for the leash position they were using and it was pulling on muscles in what I can only imagine was painful. Since we've been home he has alternated between crying and napping, not wanting to be more than a foot or two from me. I was a little concerned when I called to check in on him after his first night and they said that they have no cameras on the kennels and no one with the dogs overnight, but couldn't do anything about it while out of town and still had trust for the name brand. Never again.
