And while she is also semi-responsive to my emails, it honestly feels like they go out of their way to find me jobs that go out into the ass end of nowhere. They'll be like, "do YOU want to drive for 3+ hours for a minimum wage job?" NO! no one does! Unless they're desperate I guess? The point of this story is KNOW your worth and look else where like Indeed and LinkedIn because these people DO NOT care about you at all. The AppleOne location in NYC was not very responsive, so I switched to this location. I live in Jersey anyway so why not? They were super friendly. My first meeting with Cristina was great. I loved that she was very straight-forward and immediately started critiquing my resume. I liked what she had to say. The meeting went well and I was feeling optimistic about this place. I was supposed to receive tests by email so they can gauge my skills, but I never received anything. I called...I emailed...still no tests. No responses either. They did contact me with a position not long after our meeting, but I wondered when they were going to assess my skills. Long-story-short, this location actually called me quite frequently with offers, but I didn't accept any of them. They were either too far of a commute and not worth the part-time pay, an unrealistic commute, or they were of work that I specifically said I would not be interested in doing. I felt like they did not listen to me during our initial interview. I felt like they did not remember me when they called me. I felt like they tossed me on some random call list of junk jobs and did not care about my skills or my ability to reach a location. In the end, I was hired by an amazing company that Temporary Staffing by Suzanne had placed me with for temporary assignments. I get that approach is becoming the new normal but for an employment agency, it's a terrible way to operate. Word of mouth is a source of candidates and business from companies looking for talent. Joe Marley set up an interview and basically said I had the job based off my my resume. I came in to fill out paperwork and was told Joe marley couldn't make it, yet I was never notified...after his assistant interviewed me I was told I would receive a call back within next 2 days. I never received anything, and after several calls and voice-mais, I received a phone call a week later from Joe saying "you weren't able to work these hours so idk why your still calling." I refreshed his memory of my shift change and after an apology, he asked if I could interview with the employer that same night at 8pm. He said "let me call the employer to set it up and I will call u right back with details and address." I waited 20 mins before calling back and the agency had already closed. Since then I've left several voice-mails and never received a call back. They are still posting this same job!!!! No response, no decency, absolutely no professionalism. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THESE LOW LIFE'S. YOU WILL REGRET IT !
