I went in to cash out and buy some lottery tickets. When I handed the female clerk my tickets she said she would not and could not exchange my tickets for cash. This was the second place who refused to cash out California lottery tickets. I had tried a few days prior. You can sure buy them though! She also refused to give me tickets en lieu of cash. She had just cashed out a customer she was talking with when me and my son walked in. She claimed to be able to cash out $220 before me but could not hand me cash. She told me $75 was a high value ticket. By the way lotto is like at 150 million today. Not sure how $75 is a high value ticket against 150 million. To make things worse the asshat standing at the counter, her buddy started mouthing off and booing. A grown man in front of my son. The clerk then asked me to leave and told me never to come back. I had been there a few times before never an issue. So I'm totally bummed because if I ever need to buy a $25 bandanna, overpriced alcohol or Dodgers gear from 1992 I'm not sure where I will find it.
So as an addendum to my review I will respond to the owner. First off I was not upset until she told me she couldn't cash a high value ticket ($75). I also told her I was going to get more tickets. You are a business and your customer service sucks. That's it. Thanks to 7-11 on Orange Olive who didn't blink at cashing and then handing me lotto tickets! I wouldn't go to your store again anyway. Like I said old merchandise and way overpriced alcohol. If you need alcohol do your self a favor, BevMo and CVS are right down the street and much cheaper!
Odd of a business owner to come out and blame the customer. That is a great business plan! Of course I would write a Yelp review of the business. Isn't a customers experience important to you as a business owner? Guess not to you. read more
