Great location and an overall decent hotel located right across the small central plaza in Chapala town. It's originally someone's home so the layout is not that that of a traditional hotel.
One straight flight of steps to the greeting area where you check in and some room entrances. Another up to the dining area and other rooms. We had two rooms, us and another couple. Ours was a king size bed, theirs a queen. Room configurations different as all open right into the common area of the hotel.
The Good; centrally located, secured after hours entrance, nice little restaurant that serves a standard few dishes that come with the room. They also serve more that are an additional charge including very good lattes and coffee drinks, if you like that sort of stuff. Staff was very friendly and wife speaking Mexican helps.
The not so good; decent price and not inexpensive. Booking was a little different process and we thought we reserved a street view for Independence Day, it was not given to us. read more
