Delicious! Refreshing and healthy. I truly enjoyed my Pink Flamingo. I would definitely go again. It took no time to make as well. However, I do think it may be a seasonal thing for East Coast. I hope they do well all year round though. Can't wait to try more Playa Bowls!

We tried Playa Bowls labor day weekend for breakfast one morning. It is located inside of the Promenade food court. It was easy to find. For a food stand/take-out they have great decor and a seating area next to the counter. The decor is cool and island themed. There were two sets of people in front of us in line. We only waited a few minutes before it was our turn. I ordered the tropical bowl with added chocolate vegan protein. The bowls are a bit expensive but that was what I expected. The extra toppings are pretty reasonably priced and they pretty much have everything you could possibly want. We sat down and our food was ready a few minutes later. The fruit was ripe, sweet, and everything was fresh! No complaints. Would recommend!

Great service and delicious pitaya and açaí bowls! I would be cautious as I'm not sure how healthy these are (they include granola and extra honey) but i guess it depends on your definition of healthy. Either way they were tasty and refreshing on a hot day!

This is my new favorite place to eat on the boardwalk, AND I wish there was one near me at home too! Please open more locations in Philly burbs! For anyone who doesn't want the standards of pizza, fries or crab cakes and wants something a little healthier or lighter- this is it. It's a smoothie/parfait in a bowl instead of a cup. Layers of smoothie goodness with granola and fruit and or seeds etc. not only are the bowls so fresh and healthy, the presentation is beautiful! Also, the Poke bowls are outstanding! My husband ordered the classic, with ahi tuna, avocado, sesame, rice etc and it was both gorgeous and delicious. My only suggestion is that I wish they could customize the Poke bowls to be gluten- free friendly. (All smoothie bowls already are with the substitution of GF granola so that was excellent!!) I really wanted the Poke bowl when I went back the next day, but the high school girl working the counter didn't inspire confidence in my ordering it simply without the soy drizzle, bc she wasn't sure what else was in the rice. If someone else was there or if it was part of the menu options I would have gone for it. Next time I'm there, I'm definitely taking pictures though. Totally worth a visit to this fresh, tasty spot.

Dragonberry bowl with almond butter drizzle ($9 for the bowl, $.50 for the added almond butter)

I fell in love with Playa Bowls when I discovered their location in Fairfield, CT! I convinced my dad that we needed to give this one a try as well. I told him he needed to try the Olas Bowl (I had it in CT). He loved it! It has an amazing coconut milk/banana/honey (or agave to be vegan) base! The consistency is creamy and pudding like! The almond butter drizzle is delicious along with the bananas, coconut flakes, granola and blueberries. This time I decided to try one of their Pitaya bowls: the Dragonberry. It came with granola, strawberries and blueberries. I decided to add almond butter for $.50. It was so so good! The fuchsia base color was astounding! I loved it. The bowl was so fruity and delicious. Their blueberry flax granola is to die for. I love smoothie bowls and I must say these are life changing. The bowls go for about $10 each and the portions are great! They're the largest smoothie bowls I've seen yet. Oh I'll definitely be back!

Smoothie bowls are definitely the new rave.. but I can totally sew why. Playa bowls is one of my favorite places to get smoothie bowls. They are also so refreshing, healthy, fresh, and full of flavor. The fruit is usually on point. Have not had anything that was not good. Another great thing is that they have the most options that I have seen.

Holy options! I'm someone who usually never craves a smoothie bowl and that's because I've only had the açaí bowls. As I've heard those are also amazing here, I ordered a Pitaya bowl and it was SO GOOD. Not loaded with sugar, they sweeten it naturally with honey on top, and so many toppings to choose from. I'm excited to go back and try their poke bowls, and their green bowls!

Absolutely amazing! On vacation, I went to Playa Bowls with a few of my friends. I got a chia seed bowl (my first time) and it was not what I expected. They have a variety of different types of bowls including acai, chia seed, and poke. They completely fill the bowl (probably a little too much, but who is complaining?). Despite long lines, it took only a few minutes to pay and get my bowl. I recommend this to anyone who is looking for a nice cool, refreshing breakfast, lunch, or dinner. I want to go again, however I am 5 hours away.

Aside the location which kind of sucks, playa has some of the best açaí. This location also has some great poke options too. I would highly recommend the açaí.

Pura Vida~Acai Bowl (with vegan granola, no honey, and vegan protein powder)

My bowl was absolutely delicious! The manager behind the counter was very accommodating and offered to substitute honey for vegan protein powder at no additional cost. The bowls are a little pricey at around $9-$13 but it's understandable as it's all fresh fruit. Will definitely go again next time I'm on the boardwalk.

I ordered a smoothie that was in the menu they had on the counter, and the counter server snapped and said they don't make smoothies all angry. It turns out he menus they give out are nothing like what they serve. Mmmmmkay. So I ordered a Olas bowl instead. I expected to let the hammer down with a one star review....then bowl itself came and it was a pretty big bowl and actually exceeded expectations. I went full circle and would have to say I'd go back. Good addition to the boardwalk.

We ordered at the front and our names were called by the counter in the back. The inside has a fun beach-hippie vibe. We took our bowls out to a bench on the boardwalk to eat. I ordered the Original with peanut butter instead of honey and my friend ordered the Here Comes the Sun bowl. By first glances I was shocked how many blueberries were on my bowl! It looked as if they just took a whole pint of blueberries and dumped it on my bowl. I appreciate the generous portions, but I honestly did not need that much considering I could not take any leftovers with me. Another touch I loved was that the peanut butter was layered underneath the fruit, so that I could get it in a bite with the acai. The acai is the scooped kind, which I have had at other places, and I find it to be better than other variations. It does not melt as fast and it is creamy. The granola was not my favorite, as it was on the sweeter side and had more rice crispy things instead of oats. My friends bowl melted very fast, but that was likely due to the nature of the base (banana, pineapple, blue majik). She enjoyed the bowl otherwise. I have had better acai at other places, but I still enjoyed this bowl and would recommend Bungalow Bowls for someone looking for a bowl on the boardwalk!

Even though I feel like juice is a silly breakfast, I agreed and we drove in to town. Inside, the place is spotless. I know it is new but they d a really good job of keeping the place clean. I have actually never seen it all that crowded and I wonder if it is the location or healthy nature of their fare that keeps people away. I got a vegan granola bar and "Kooler" cold pressed juice. Both were really good and the juice came in a jar that can be returned for a discount on a future purchase. The granola bar was different but tasty. It was very crumbly so don't expect to eat it while walking or driving. My girlfriend got a "Red" bowl that was big and seemed to be very filling. The food is somewhat pricey but you definitely get large portion sizes (of the food at least). Hopefully, I will return. I am torn on whether I like having these new, upscale businesses in Ocean City. I certainly like having an upscale small business right in the heart of town, but I have a feeling that bougie places like this are a sign that rising price are here to stay in OC. If you are a local, give this place a try! They also have great coffee.
