A group of six of us went out this weekend and had an incredible time. The friendly and professional owner (and his adorable pup) were very detailed in mapping out which canals to take and where to go when others had dried up, he'd even given us a laminated map to take with us. We showed up around noon or so and with filling out the waivers and paying, he had us on the water in less than 15 minutes! The scenery of the Ausable River, the bridges, and the exposed fallen trees were an outstanding preview to the breathtaking Lake Champlain and mountain views. The map led us to the sandy beaches near the local campground, plenty of space on the coast to feel like you have your own beach! Would definitely recommend doing the 4 hour trip as it gives you ample time to enjoy the beaches without needing to rush back. Highly recommend and can't wait to return.

It's a really clean park, with a nice playground for kids to run around at. 2 ice cream trucks drive around sucking parents wallets dry. The staff was kind enough to allow us to grow our reunion tents without any issues. They have trash removal throughout the day which makes it nice to keep critters away. Bathrooms and shower rooms are separate things. I couldn't get hot water in the first shower I took, but my mom next to me did, as well as as all of the rest of my family. I feel like they could afford to get a blower to the bathroom area for leaf removal. It attracts mosquitoes really bad. BRING THE BUG SPRAY! Fishing was very scarce we caught 1 worth keeping and it didn't make it worth the time to keep trying. The grass has gotten more overrun then I remember it being years ago. This was our 2nd family reunion here and we enjoy it here . Its a good place to visit. It's a great value of $30/night with electric.

Let me explain something about this Cottage/Suite Camp like golf resort. Lets get to the golf…read morefirst!! The course was in an 9 out of 10 for conditions in my opinion and I will explain why. Tee boxes 10, Greens 10, Fairways 8 ( little brown but still not bad, Also not all the fairways where brown neither.) Bunkers 6 ( had some rocks and where thin ), Price 10, pace 10, layout and scenery 10... Cottage 120 on 4th Fairway was fantastic, now I say fantastic because I went there knowing this wasn't a Marriott but a camping cottage. Our views of Lake Champlain where amazing and of the golf course as well. Now we did have some ant issues and Randy the Raccoon came to visit us by the fire looking for food ( he wasn't afraid of us neither.) Now why they get a 5 star review from me????? CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! This was by far the nicest group of people I have ever meet at a resort (Paul, Gary and everyone else that works there.) I believe those skills have been lost over the years but not here. The ant issue was resolved immediately and any other issue we may have had was as well. So in a nutshell, great golf, great price and a great place to relax and enjoy a fire and a cocktail.

Beautiful planting's. Small gazebo. Statue honoring Samuel de Champlain. Street parking (free) nearby. It seems to be in a local historic district. Historical houses nearby. A small pedestrian suspension bridge crossing the inlet nearby. While we were visiting, a ghost tour was going on. Overall a nice place to take a break, admire the view, watch some sailboats and some birds.

This is the perfect place to bring your family and friends. You will have a hands on tour and get to learn about agriculture from the 1800s! You will also have a chance to watch a short film and meet the chickens, donkeys and adorable and friendly horses! You can feed them the clovers and grass and they will happily run to you and give you kisses! We LOVED this place and spent four hours here talking to the Blacksmiths and guides. Everyone here is very passionate about the farm and the Babbie museum it is so beautiful. It's free today and tomorrow for the Adirondack Association! Definitely come and check this amazing museum out! You will not regret it!

First things first, this place is…read moreonly a couple of months old & my map couldn't find it (it's in the Big Lots shopping center, fyi) The pros: The facility was clean, staff was very helpful (and fun), and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We got three types of axes and the owner of Precision Engraving was even kind enough to also let us throw some of his knives. As only one of us had ever thrown an ax before, we needed quite a bit of guidance, and Plaxburgh's team members were very helpful and encouraging. The cons: No food or bev options (other than a couple of vending machines in the back), and the cost is a bit high at $25 per person per hour (the only reason I deducted a star). You will need to sign a disclaimer form, and anyone under 18 will need an adult with them. Plaxburgh is available for corporate team building events and private events!

It has two weight rooms, an aerobic excercise room which was just upgraded with new equipment, a raquetball court, and numerous adult fitness classes (ranging from Pilates to Zumba). All in all, its a fantastic part of the local community.
