If they're coming down an aisle, do I move? Are they supposed to move? Who gets right of way?? I must have missed the course on shopping etiquette. The prices are very low like Salvation Army stores, and things seemed to be in order. No chipped glasses or stained sweaters. I got two big Chinese-style bowls for a dollar each and a pair of suede/faux suede ankle boots in good condition for $5. Apparently they also have a deal where if you spend $100 you get $10 off.

First visit to this Kate Spade in October this year and wasn't disappointed. Very friendly staff,…read morevery helpful too. There was more than one purse I was interested in, but settled on a big clear blue tote with an extra skinny pouch I could use for cash & probably ID. Right now I put coupons in it. My daughter talked me into getting it so I could keep extra stuff in this clear tote-things I always have a hard time leaving behind that don't fit in my smaller Kate Spade. I have tried now for a year to only carry a small crossbody purse, and it is really helpful when you have neck issues like I do....but....it's been hard! So this idea of carrying the smaller one inside the tote and pulling it out when I go inside shopping has been genius! I have everything organized in a blue purse organizer I had gotten on Amazon years ago. The one thing I did notice is at another store like this, they actually had the markdown prices listed so you didn't have to ask. Here, I felt bad I had to keep asking for the prices of the different ones I liked-I could've figured it out myself, but Kate Spade has a certain way of doing the discounts so I always want to make sure. Plus they can do it off the top of their head usually! When it gets to be holiday season, especially here at Birch Run outlet's, waiting on an attendant for a price over it being listed would try my patience especially if it's hot inside the store. That's why not 5 stars. No other reason!

I thought this was the type of business that would respond. Instead they just took down all the reviews. I had called previously to check on a Birkenstock. They had the shoe, but I needed another color. I was told, "No problem we can order it." I drove the 40 miles, with my 88 year old mom. We go there at least once a year. I picked out several pair of shoes. I was approached by a red-haired man, "Looks like you know what you want." I told him, "Not really." Anyway, another lady came in and they started chatting. I went to him to ask for footie's. He continued to talk to the other lady. Then another sales lady arrived and I asked if she could help me. I had about three pair of sandals. I would have needed to order two, one a difference size, the other another color. No one ever asked if I needed help or anything. Another sales lady arrived and I asked for help. She was very impatient and rude. Mom was getting tired, so I just said, "forget it." I decided I would drive back by myself and a later time. She walked away saying something under her breath. Then I asked to speak to the manager no apology, nothing.

They keep telling me different dates of when the part will be in. No one seems to be very apologetic for the issues. A new chair would have been easier and faster. If your an Old Navy fan you'll feel right at home. Most all of the inventory that they carry at the…read moremall, they carry here. In many ways the store mirrors your typical ON location. I don't feel that the prices are any less than other Old Navys, yet that was once the point of an outlet store. You will find plenty of specials and great bargains, again, fulfilling the classic definition of outlet shopping. PRO TIP: It seems silly or time consuming, but you need to jot down sale prices on items you buy. It's also a good idea to take a picture of the sign and the garments directly under it. I take it one step further by comparing the upc (bar code) on the price tag with the upc on the sign (when available). I developed this most inconvenient practice because on my first three visits to this store there were items that didn't ring up with the sale price. The cashiers have always been great about correcting the mistake...if you catch it. On two occasions I've heard "looks like someone accidentally put this on the wrong rack!" Was it accidental? It's a clean store and the staff are super pleasant. Depending on your timing, it can get really busy, but the line moves quickly. Because it's the outlet mall there's a huge parking area without much competition nearby. What it really boils down to is: are you willing to watch them like a hawk and grab the deals ~or~ not be bothered? I'm a fan so it's worth it to me. 06/21
