If you have…read morethe time to visit the immaculate region of Costa Brava during your trip to Spain, Playa de Llafranc is an excellent beach to explore during your journey. The quaint beach town of Palafrugell is picturesque and Playa de Llafranc is the perfect little beach to relax at. The water is so clean and clear! The perfect aqua hue with the most shallow and inviting waves. Trust me, you WILL be getting into this water while you're here. It's so peaceful and calming. There are others who will also be there enjoying this beautiful beach too, but crowded is what it is NOT. There is plenty of room to spread out and enjoy. The sand is so soft and warm. The water temp is perfect too. Even in Mid-October the weather was just fabulous and I couldn't resist getting in. The views are what makes this destination so special. Not only do you have the most impressive coastal views, but you'll also get some gorgeous views of the pretty beach towns that surround the area. I actually saw a live octopus swim up shore while I was here. A gentleman on the beach picked him up and everyone gathered around to take a peek. It was pretty interesting. I've never seen an octopus just casually wash up on the shore like that before. Not in Hawaii, not in Mexico, and definitely not in Florida or California. That's how you know this beach is different. Even the octo's are loving it! What's nice is that this beach is super accessible and easy to get down to. There are a few restaurants that are literally steps away if you get hungry and want to enjoy lunch with a coastal view. Spent the afternoon here and enjoyed every second of it. I was actually bummed to leave but the drive is pretty long from Barcelona (roughly 3 hours long). Next time I'd definitely stay in town and explore more of the coast, but it makes for a wonderful day trip too.

I'm not exaggerating that this was the best time I've ever had at the beach. This place is absolutely amazing, especially when compared with the other beaches in Barcelona. Not only would I come back here again, but I would even jump at the opportunity to live here in Castelldefelds if I ever get the chance. Just a fun beach town with a fantastic, relaxed vibe.

It has a lifeguard service, showers, ramps to take you on to the beach, bars, restaurants on the beach and or near it. There are also people making huge sand castle. Or just pretty much anything part of BCN. I saw one guy who made Sagradia famila. I was like wow! If you want to chill at the beach go to Playa Bogatell it's near restaurants with good food. But remember your near the beach so any seafood restaurant will be pricey.

Hop on the Metro and we were there, amongst thousands of Spaniards doing exactly the same as us. Wandering along the prom, arm in arm. OK, there were a few that were more energetic on roller blades,bicycles or jogging. But they never got in the way. Plenty of stop offs for drinks and/or toilets. An enjoyable few hours.
