Best thing I ever did to move over to platinum Realty! Great company to work for! The flat fee commission structure is phenomenal for all of the perks that you get! I loved redeeming my points that earn for great gifts! The weekly training is so easy to attend to online and very informative! read more

Vickie Clevenger is a real estate agent with this firm. She sold me a house and did not disclose. She was going to take things off of the house that were mounted on the front of the house. She let her husband take things down. After I made my offer and was under contract and didn't even take consideration to paint and fill the holes where they took screws out of the front of the house. I would be aware of using her or anybody associated with her. read more

We were charged commission on the list price, not the sale price by the buyers agent, Jessica Peters. Our agent, the listing agent, Marcy Carlson said the broker approved it and we were to close to closing to do anything about it. List price was 40,000 higher than sale price. Both agents work for this same brokerage. As for Marcy Carlson, We ultimately felt that our interests were not represented properly. I would recommend extreme caution or seeking another agent. read more

Just purchased a house throught Robbie Glendinning an agent for Platinum Realty. I can tell from experience this agent is all about making money and does not give a rat a** about his clients. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY AND THE AGENT I JUST NAMED. This review is based on truth, personal experience and honest opinion. read more

Beware and ask for detailed marketing strategy in writing before you sign a listing agreement. This Broker says that simply placing a listing on MLS is a good enough strategy for selling a house. Platinum says that "[i]n today's world, open houses, broker open houses, pamphlets and flyers are a waste of time. " Platinum also is fine with an agent listing a house and going on vacation for a month with no back- up person to cover the listing. read more

Hello, my name is Carol       i am contacting you about the threats i am recieving from paul searcy, i am aware that over 2000 agents work under the platinum name. i feel that if i told anyone else it would not be remedied.  on monday september 15, 2024 searcy called my husbands phone. he was in the bathroom, so i told searcy my husband was indisposed at the time. that my husband would need to call him back. searcy kept me on the phone asking about the house tour request sent to zillow.  as well as inquiring about having a prequalification letter. and that he had a guy that could get us qualified in an hour.  i told him i already had a finance company lined up. and had spent the pervious night uploading all the documents. he still forced the issue and said he will text a link to his guy, cuz he didnt want to waste his time with someone that couldnt buy a house. yes, he actually said that, my husband could hear him since he was on speaker phone.   my husband wanted to tour the home, searcy said the only way that was gonna happen is with him, and a prequalification letter. we called our finance guy, got a letter in 10 minutes. then searcy told my husband he had to sign an agreement.  he didnt state what agreement.  searcy sent digital agreement papers, my husband signed them. my husband told me that he was gonna let this guy show him the house, and if the house was good. we would find a different agent. my husband liked the house not the agent. texted the agent 2 hours later to cancel the contract. searcy would not respond. so i texted the lead on the team. didnt hear anything else for 6 hours. then suddenly there was these,, ( see attachment) [I'm not concerned about what you want. I'm under contract with **y. Not you. So, if he wants to cancel, I need to hear it from him. Also, I've already spoken to the listing agent. He is aware that I'm the procuring agent on this sale. if you buy it. If you buy it through another agent, I will sue you for my commission. I promise.] it was clear that searcy was willing to ruin my life, and the sellers life , just to get the sum of his commission.  $190,000 so that the elderly seller gets out from under that house, and a large family gets some wher to call home. but the only thing that matters to him is his commission.  why cant we have a new realtor? why cant my family have a realtor that actually cares about what the family wants, and be respectful to the females of my family? morally speaking his actions are corrupt. so now my family is never allow to buy the home at xxx east xxxxxx street independence,  mo.  why should he get a commission when he is a jerk to me.  how is this what's supposed to happen? the interaction between paul and "**y's wife" were stressed from the very beginning. i answered the phone this morning , let paul know **y was indisposed. and would call him back. he continued to steer the point of getting pre qualified by a guy he knew. i had to tell him **y is in the bathroom and he cant talk to him til he comes out. he finally allowed the conversation to end. then he was sharing our private information with persons we did not give permission to tell. telling people who our finance company's name. my adult children were introduced to him, he ignored them, and got names wrong. and would not stop pressing the issue of using a different finance company. as if our choice was not good enough. paul couldnt answer any questions about the property. then could not get a response for 6 long hours. $100,000's going to be spent of our $. we need a more attentive agent, that cares where our head is at, and what questions we have. that much $ and what finance institution we choose to use is judged and picked at? no,,, his approach does not work for this family. read more

Across all websites/google reviews. Nearly all reviews are from employees and not clients. Google reviews and such is for clients who have experienced issues. It's not supposed to be glassdoor. That's deceiving enough as it. When you actually look through clients that have had horrific experiences with the company, it's hard to find through all the spam of employee reviews. When you actually do read about them, I will be sure to tell anyone and everyone to not work with this company. Just be aware. As well as not working with Jessica Gilmore. I was attempting to purchase my first home. What was supposed to be one of the happiest times of my life turned into a nightmare I am not an attorney so I cannot give any legal advice. I can only speak of my experience, which I hope others will learn from. 1. Seriously, read the contract. Get an attorney in on it. When is the expiration? Can the agent still collect a commission after termination? Is the contract between the agent or the broker? How does that work? 2. Really get to know your agent. Interview them. Don't go through Mortgage Loan Officer referrals. Ask your friends/relatives. There are so many "fly by night" agents that are just wanting to make a quick buck with this market. When you sign this contract, you are married to your agent till the end, which could be 6 months or more. Many couples don't even last that long. Take it seriously. Interview them. Research their company. 3. You think you know the market is crazy? You seriously don't. Brace yourself for a lot of disappointment, and outrageous bids. Many gave up (including myself) because of how insane it is out there. 4. Never ever, let an agent/company bully/threaten you into not writing a review. Write/log/record/screenshot everything from the very beginning. I don't care how good you think things are going. People turn ugly faster than you can blink. Like this text message from Jessica Gilmore (Also commented screenshot). "You do not need me to waste anymore of my time on a written document to let you out of a buyer's agreement. Written documents obviously mean nothing to you anyway and neither did my time or gas money. Also, if you keep threatening me saying you're going to post "bad publicity" about me then I will turn around and take you to court like I should have at the very start of all this. I did nothing wrong to you, but have lost all respect for you. Also, I've added up all of the showings for multiple properties I showed you, drive time (mileage), etc and it was well over "a few hours". Hopefully you show more respect to your next realtor who signs a buyer/listing agreement with you." 5. Absolutely do not work with this company. And do not work with Jessica Gilmore. If you have an issue, ask for a managing broker. I was never properly directed to someone who could actually help me in my situation. Donna Chase, an agent, would tell me Jessica is not supposed do things, yet she did it. The company doesn't hold their agents to ethical standards. 6. Finally, if you do end up with issues, there's Kansas Real Estate Commission site where you can file a complaint. They have their guidelines so take note. You are able to upload docs/image... I was naïve and trusted an agent/company I had no business trusting. When I gave up on the housing market, I decided to buy my family home. I couldn't even do that. I was told I would be let out of the agreement then I never was. The hell I was put through can never justify someone collecting payment for it. ***It is not the client's responsibility to handle your personal matters. You're hired to be a professional, act with integrity, and put your client first.***** Your familial/marital/age/sex/orientation doesn't absolve your from when you do wrong. When you've acted unethically and lied, you've done just that. **I do fear retaliation from the agent. There are not enough words to express the phone call that went down. I haven't ever come across that in my life where a professional is yelling and will not stop. Something is not right. read more

Working for Platinum has changed my life. Excellent support by support staff and other agents. Love this place!

Platinum realty is a great company to work with. They have all the best tools to make sure your transaction completes successfully!

One of their agents recently showed my home. I left all the lights on so they wouldn't have to fumble around for switches. Over 40 lights. He left every single light on. Too lazy to flip ONE switch!!! Also said a bunch of negative things about my house like I was trying to hide basement water damage, house smelled like my pets, etc. He was obviously trying to steer the buyers to some other house so he made up bad things and they were only in my house for a few minutes. What kind of a person does that? read more
