Expectations were set and, most importantly, the service we received delivered on those stated expectations My only minor criticism would be that the marketing of add on services was a bit more aggressive than I would like, but my respectful decline of this additional options was all it took for them to back off. All in all a positive experience. I'll be back next year for annual maintenance

Rikki, Since you…read moretook the time to reply, I will update my review further. If nothing else, just to make you aware. When I finally dig an inspector out, he said there was no issue whatsoever and that I was fine to just clean up some minor water spots on an interior window and do a better job caulking. I finally went for a second opinion, and not only did they find the nails were not galvanized and installed on top of the roof instead of on the side, water had leaked in quite drastically leading to a $3000 repair. This other company literally walked on top of my roof and with her bare hands, picked up the entire tack strip that is supposed to keep things glued down. She couldn't believe the nails that were used and the placement but more so, that this was said to be 'no issue' by a professional. Your guy that came out to investigate literally never even put his hand on it to wiggle it around and see if there was an issue, he just looked - no ladder, just climbed part of my balcony and looked. If I had listened to him and just caulked the interior window so that more water wouldn't have come through, this would've continued and become an absolutely horrific problem. I know customer service agents aren't always a reflection of the company but this gentleman was a 'master installer' his words. I'm not sure what there is more to say, but as a business owner you may want to know. As an aside, I do appreciate that even months later, someone responded to this. I do hope things work out as your company continues to change.

Not impressed. Looked up their reviews and literally every review mentioned a different person like the company was some sort of referral service. But during that process I stumbled on reviews for GEHM and what's not to love? I submitted a request for a quote through the website. I received a response more quickly than I expected. Mark had clearly read what I wrote (yippee), had a couple quick questions, and then gave me a quote which seemed reasonable to me. Great communication and I booked it with confidence. Mark did not disappoint. He was prompt, personable and professional. Ok, that's enough alliteration but you get the point. He did a GREAT job cleaning a very nasty second story deck patio roof - better than I expected! I had moved my horse to another pasture to give Mark safe access to the paddock on the side of the barn. OF COURSE on this ONE RANDOM DAY the horse's gate post shifted, the gate opened and the horse walked out, out the paddock gate (which I had left open for Mark) and into the driveway. I will be forever grateful for Mark alerting me to the situation. That horse could've walked down the street to a main thoroughfare resulting in a vehicle accident to someone else which I'm sure would not end well for the horse either. TL/DR: Great job! Smart guy. Knows his stuff. Cares about doing it right and safely.

I never did hear back from the initial company I requested a quote from, but PowerHouse was one of the additional companies and answered back FIRST. I did get a couple other companies that reached out to help providing a quote but days after PowerHouse. Aaron from PowerHouse stopped by and took a look at the gutters we wanted replaced. He walked us patiently through our options, including special considerations we wanted for our house due to the way rain came down the roof strongly in certain areas. He had some custom solutions for each problem we brought up and walked us patiently through to build a game plan. The quote came - and knowing everything is expensive these days - it was still within our budget. He had said it was a one day job with him an another person, I backed out materials costs, and realized they were giving a pretty honest quote and due to the trust he had built with us, we didn't even finish getting the other quotes, which is very unusual for me when looking to hire. The best we could have saved with another company would be at most 10%, but I wasn't even sure of that, and the trust was the biggest thing my wife and I were looking for. PowerHouse has only a few reviews on Yelp, which is why I'm leaving it here. G00gle has 40+ reviews which I read through and we accepted the quote that night. Within three days he was at our house and quickly took down our old gutters (he also hauls these away) and started building out the new gutter system. The biggest observation I can give is Aaron doesn't cut corners to get the job done right. Though he only initially quoted a "one day job at 4-6 hours to complete" the job took him 10 hours. He stayed until everything was perfect. The system also comes with a 5 year service warranty, and an expected 20+ year lifespan (with good maintenance/care). Our gutters look phenomenal. He also added a downspout "trap" which you can open to trap and fish leaves and junk out before risking clogging up your underground drain/plumbing. They are really cool! I highly recommend hiring PowerHouse for your gutter project. Reasonable prices, quality materials and craftsman level installation, and high trust through the project. He's PERFECT at what he does!

On top of that, the contract copy arrived 5 days late after a $2,000 deposit, the office initially had no record of our project, the written contract didn't match what we were told, and the job required three visits -- which altogether felt very unprofessional for a $6,000 repair. - We recently hired Guardian Roofing to repair a roof leak above our dining room. The inspection took place the week before Thanksgiving, and the repair itself was carried out on Thanksgiving Day. We genuinely appreciated that the crew was willing to work over a holiday. However, the weeks that followed involved multiple return visits and repeated attempts on our part to resolve concerns privately. Because these issues remained unresolved for nearly a month, we felt it was important to share our experience for future customers. Because water was actively leaking into our home, we moved forward quickly after the salesperson explained that the job would include replacing the roof plywood and installing a gutter downspout extension. We paid a $2,000 deposit that same day. Although the contract was signed electronically, we did not receive a copy for five days, despite being told it would be sent immediately. During that time, the salesperson became unresponsive -- and when we contacted the company office to follow up, they initially had no record that we had signed a contract or paid a deposit. That was extremely concerning given the urgency of the situation. After the repair was completed, we finally received the written contract -- and only then realized that it did not match what we had been told. The gutter extension was not included in the document, and the plywood had only been partially replaced, even though we had understood the replacement would cover the full section. When we raised these discrepancies, we were told that the company had simply followed the wording of the contract. Only after further discussion, including acknowledgment of what the original salesperson had described, did the company agree to install the gutter extension at no additional cost. Still, for a $6,000 repair, the overall process felt disorganized and unclear. The job ultimately required three visits: the initial torch-down installation, a later trip to add the omitted gutter extension, and then another visit to secure that extension after it was installed too loosely. Even after all of this, our original concerns about finishing quality and water pooling were never addressed. These concerns were not just about appearance. This section of the roof is clearly visible from our upstairs rooms and yard, and even neighbors who can see it commented that the work looked surprisingly rough for a professional installation. The seams and vent patches were left with heavy, uneven adhesive buildup, and in several areas rainwater now collects instead of draining properly. When we raised these issues, we were told that the work met company standards and, in their words, "we are not decorators." The conversation repeatedly shifted toward explaining the nature of torch-down roofing -- as if the outcome were simply inherent to the system -- rather than addressing the quality of the execution itself. What made the experience particularly difficult was feeling that our urgency and lack of technical knowledge were not met with clear guidance and follow-through, but instead left us to discover contractual and workmanship issues only after the fact. In the end, the combination of delayed documentation, unclear expectations, inconsistent internal awareness of our project, multiple return visits, and workmanship that appeared unfinished left us disappointed and concerned as customers. We hope this review helps other homeowners make informed decisions and encourages greater clarity, accountability, and care in both communication and work quality going forward.

Dishonest! They intentionally omit an important "requirement"…read more I requested an estimate for an exhaust vent repair which was simple to do on Guardian's website. Guardian quickly called me, which became a strange experience. The lady from Guardian asked me if my Wife was employed and what her hours were. I asked why she wanted to know that, and she replied that they like to be able to discuss the project with both Husband and Wife. I told her that I'd handle everything myself. She again started down the road about my Wife and asked what time she gets home. I said don't worry about my Wife's hours, she doesn't need to be at home for me to hear how much this will cost. Such a personal question, especially after having asked to stop, is very inappropriate and weird for Guardian to pose. An estimator came to our house a few days later; fantastic employee and experience. He was very professional and knowledgable. I went up on the roof with him and he explained a lot about shingles, etc. He was at our house for an hour. I received a message from Guardian the next day asking to schedule another visit to my home to discuss the estimate. I was confused by their request. I politely declined and asked them to email me the estimate like every other estimate we received. Guardian refused to send me my estimate. Then they emailed me: "Our process does require an in-person review the estimate so we can walk through the details, materials, and options and answer any questions. Since a lot goes into our estimates, we're not able to send the estimate by email alone." No, their "process" is something they made up; no one is making them do this. Yes, they CAN email an estimate...like all their competitors. They want to come out again to try and pressure us. Guardian is saying that I have to take time out of my day, again, to be presented the estimate in person. Their competitors came to my house, then emailed me an estimate the next day. Like every other estimate experience I've gone through in my life. Had Guardian told me they refuse to email the estimate, I never would have let you come in our home. But they intentionally didn't say that, a lie of omission. This is a deceptive tactic. It's also extraordinarily disrespectful of my time.
