As every physician knows, doctors make the worst patients, and I was on my best behavior to avoid being one of those patients that every doctor hates to see when they walk into the treatment room. So, after a flight to Birmingham and a night at the Grand Bohemian Hotel Mountain Brook, I took an Uber to the Hedden Plastic Surgery Center and was the first patient of the day. Upon arrival, the office and surgical suite was stunningly beautiful and modern that could rival any medical office in the country. I was greeted by a friendly staff, and completed my paperwork on one of their computers. I was taken into an examination room, given a full informed consent and explanation of the miraDry procedure. Truth be told, I already did some research before hand via one of his nurses and was well prepared to have the procedure performed. I had the pleasure to have Wynn work on me and she was an outstanding medical nurse that has performed the miraDry procedure many times. After a local anesthesia that I barley felt, the miraDry procedure is like a handheld wand that uses miraWave energy that targets and destroys sweat and odor glands in your underarm. Once those glands are destroyed they do not grow back so that means once they are gone, they are gone for good. The entire procedure took about 45 minuted each side and I had pretty much zero pain and took a Uber to the airport to travel home. The only challenge was trying to keep the ice packs under each armpit and travel on a plane, so if I had to do it again, I would have spend another night in Alabama and leave the next day. So there you go, I had the miraDry procedure performed on myself and now I get to write a Yelp review about an embarrassing medical condition I have (well technically I am cured now so the correct word is "had" and I am glad I did it). The day after and next few days after the procedure were not bad at all, other than some significant swelling in my underarms that made me look like I was at the gym, and there was some mild redness. I really had no pain, no complications, and would 100% recommend this procedure and Dr Hedden to anyone that has excessive underarm sweating or odor. I am sure that there are other doctors and medical centers that offer this procedure, but I decided to go to Dr Hedden as I felt he was a world class expert in this procedure and after hearing him lecture and spend some time in his office, I am super happy I traveled to see him and his staff --- he deserves my 5 star rating on Yelp.

So let's get started. The women were nice. The doctor's fee were responsible. But I got what I paid for. The surgery was clean and I had immediate infections. The results, I am very disappointed with. I had 2 surgeries at once. 1. Breast lift with augmentation. Results: 2 totally different breast with right side having a visible definition line between the implant and natural breast. Other professional opinions say its not in the pocket correctly. The left breast is nice. The nipples are not lined up at all. And It's very obvious, about an inch or more in 2 direction from being centered in the same place on each side. His answer is no one has even breast... hmm. So I guess I paid to have a lopsided breast job. Mine were not uneven before the surgery, Just saggy. 2. Inner thigh lift, the excessive skin was removed from weight loss. Results: the right leg was not tacked together in a straight line. I told him this in the beginning. He kept saying it would smooth out. Unfortunately, it did not. As a result, it left me with about a 2 inch fat roll that is very visible about half way down my thigh. Also, he didnt do the needed liposuction at the end of the removal and it makes the scar stand out and a pile of excess skin and fat that was left over just sit there on both sides. I've seen pictures of before and after of people with a lot more to remove than me and their results were much better. When I brought it to his attention, he acted like he couldn't see it. That was not good. Ive had many friends point it out. Once he finally admitted there was a mistake with the tacking, he wanted me to pay to have it fixed, which completely contradicts his contract. He finally decided to repair the 2 inch roll only. Then, of course he canceled the appointment the day he was to do it. I am to the point now that I am questioning if I want him to even working on me. He has messed up everything he has touched. I guess I got what I paid for. I did not save money by going with the doctor with the lower cost. I will have to pay another doctor to fix his screw up or live with it. Side note. The day they canceled my appointment. First they called and asked if I could come in earlier because they had a cancelation. I told them I was just leaving and I was 2 hours away. And I would be there earlier than my 3 o'clock appt. She said if I get there at 230 they can get me on back. A few minutes later I decided to call back to tell them that if someone was after me to let them go before me and I didnt mind waiting, if that person was closer. But before I got that out, the other lady who answered the phone stated she was about to call me and cancel my appointment because the doctor needed to leave early and she was about to call and reschedule my appointment because the doctor had a dentist appointment. I said OH REALLY... I was just told come in early because you had a cancelation. Are you sure you aren't trying to get me to change my appointment so yall can close up early? I would have completely understood, especially since I work in this field. I get it. Why did he make a dentist appointment when he already had a prior obligation to Me? That's the type of person he is. Selfish! Self centered. He got his money, and he doesn't care about anyone else. THERE I SAID IT!
