I ordered flowers over the phone from out of State. I had great expectations as we have used them for years. I grew up in Logan. The order was to match my Father's casket spray (which was stunning). The casket spray was ordered by the Funeral home so I felt that they got better service. I ordered 2 Standing sprays for $300 each. They start at $200, I was told, and I wanted to have something full and beautiful from the Children and Grandchildren. One was really nice and the 2nd was so simple and only had 5 roses. 3 little yellow ones and 2 larger ones. I was told that by going up in price, there would be more flowers. WHAT FLOWERS? They were supposed to be at the funeral home before 9:30 am. At 9:45, I had the funeral home director call Plant Peddler to find out why they weren't delivered. They showed up at 9:50 am and we had to move people out of the family line and photos to set it up. I ordered my wife flowers online for her birthday. I was fine to spend some extra money to give the flowers more of a "wow" factor. I had placed the order about 2 weeks in advanced. On the day of her birthday they finally showed up around 5PM. I was very unimpressed with the bouquet and how much I spent on them. There was no "wow" factor at all. I would not recommend them. If I could give these guys a zero I would. My daughter ordered her wedding flowers from them. When she picked up her first look bouquet she had to wait to get them and they weren't the flowers she had picked out or ordered. Looked like they put something together last minute. We complained to the owner and he was no help and made comments much like I have read in other reviews of this business. They canceled our order and refunded our money like it was going to be some kind of penalty. Good for us we have a relationship with Every Blooming Thing in SLC and they delivered her flowers to Logan for us and Everything turned out great. 1 Star is way too many for this business! my husband ordered me Roses for our 46th wedding anniversary to be delivered the next day, which was a Saturday. By 4:30pm we had not received the flowers so I called Plant Peddler and was told they had no order for me. I gave them my order number and he said give me a few minutes to research your order and I will call you back, which he did and told me they were working on the order and that they would arrive shortly. 90 minutes later at 6:05pm a ridicules vase of Roses that were just thrown into a vase with some sloppy placed greenery arrived. My husband was extremely disappointed and asked the driver if he was happy with what he delivered and he told him no. I went in to talk to the manager and showed her a picture of what was on Plant Peddlers website and showed her a picture of what I received and all she said was he ordered a dozen red roses in a vase and that is what you got. I'm very disappointed in Plant Peddler, I have used them for over 30 years. On Valentine's Day my nephew sent my sister a $100 bouquet and what she actually received was laughable. We took it back to the store and they changed the bow and added some strange sticks! I thought I'd give them another shot and sent my mother a $70 bouquet for Mother's Day. What she got looks nothing like what I ordered with probably only a third of the flowers versus what was supposed to be in the arrangement. Levon keeps our office plants looking vibrant and healthy. She works quietly and efficiently. She knows when a plant needs to be switched out and takes care of it without being asked. The plants and flowers we get from Plant Peddler are the finishing touches that make our office feel warm and inviting. Levon was very helpful to me when someone gave me an orchid and I didn't know how to keep the beautiful plant alive. I was afraid I would overwater it, which I did at first because mushrooms started to appear in the soil. I asked her how much water does an orchid need, she told me 3 ice cubes every week. I followed her instructions and my orchid has flourished. I've seen it blossom with not one but 2 separate sets of blooms. Buyer BEWARE !!! I wish I could put 0 stars to these charlatans. I ordered flowers online, and the flowers that got delivered look nothing like the ones I paid for. Searching around I can see this business & it's owners have a reputation !!! NOT a good one. They are known for disappointing many of their customers with shotty arrangements, poor quality flowers and extremely rude attitudes. Honestly if I lived I Logan, where my child lives, I would have made her bouquet myself. It looks like a 7 yr old did it, not a supposed "professional" ???. I would have done a much better job and would have spent a lot less than $100. I also contacted 1800flowers and told them they needed to drop PP (isn't that appropriate, lol) from their vendors list. I posted a huge complaint with them also . If I had to guess the only individuals who receive a beautiful product , ( the ones leaving positive reviews) are either numerous family members, friends of theirs or their church pals !! Bought these flowers from Plant Peddlers. The flowers from the website for $69 dollars are full and look like they are worth the money. I called to get even bigger because it was my Mothers 75th anniversary. The picture is what showed up. I paid $85 dollars for something they have on their website for $30 dollars. Anytime you order from these guys over the phone the scam you. They short your flowers and send you something that look like shit. Do NOT buy flowers from this company. They will scam you. It will never show up close to the pictures or even something close to what you ordered. I was embarrassed for my Mother that they brought those to her. My parents ordered a floral arrangement from this business for my brothers wife's funeral, the day of service this business called 20 minutes before the service was to start and informed my parents that the flowers were not delivered to mortuary in time and the people at the mortuary had already left for the grave side service. We did not have time to get the floral arrangement before the service. Other reviews here reveal that this is a habitual problem for this company. They lack sensitivity for people during their times of sorrow. I do not know how this company is still in business, as I am a small business owner I understand customer service is paramount. This company will make commitments to its customers than reneges on its commitments to its customers. They do not take its operation seriously as shown by the pathetic treatment of its customers. I ordered flowers for my daughter online from FromYouFlowers and Plant Peddler did the order. The flowers my daughter got was NOT at all like the picture. It was cheap and didn't even have any roses. I complained to FromYouFlowers and they said the flowers should look exactly like the picture and would be replaced. My daughter received nothing. I again complained to FromYouFlowers and they gave me a $10 refund on a $42 flower order. If you want what you ordered I would not use The Plant Peddler. I ordered a boquet of flowers called Daisies and Dots for my sister who lives in Smithfield. When she recieved the flowers she sent me a picture. The flowers that were delivered were clearly not the flowers in the picture. I called to tell The Plant Peddler that I was dissapointed. I said that I knew there was probalbly nothing that could be done now, but I wanted them to know that I was not happy. I was told that the flowers that were sent were what I had ordered, when they clearly were not. The vase was different. The person I was taking to said it was an "upgrade". There was a beautiful green polka dot ribbon in the picture I ordered from, and there was not a visible ribbon in the picture that my sister sent me. There were green mums and alot of greenery in the picture that I ordered from. The person I was talking to admitted they were out of mums (so no dots). The greenery that was in the delivered boquet was sparse at best. the daisies in the picture were mixed together, the boquet that was sent was clumps of yellow and clumps of white daisies. Two comments that the person made were "it was yellow and white daisies how could it be wrong", and "I do not believe the customer is always right". I then asked to talk to the manager, the person that I was talking to informed me that she was the manager. The only solution that I was offered was that they would go and get the flowers and refund my money. Can you imagine having flowers delivered and then having someone come and take them away. So, to start, I will say that I went in and picked out flowers for my side of the family to give for my husband's grandmother's funeral and was very excited and impressed by the selection and helpfulness of the staff. However, that was the end of the good experience for me there. I was told they would deliver it to the funeral/viewing. When we arrived at the viewing the night before the funeral, we couldn't find the arrangement we had picked out ANYWHERE. In the morning, they still weren't there, so I called them and he said he had specifically remembered our order because his daughter had asked him about it. After the funeral we went to the store to get down to the bottom of what happened-- and he said he knew the one that was ours had been delivered because his daughter had put cattails in it - which we had not asked for- so we thought maybe he had confused ours with another. When we mentioned we hadn't wanted cattails, that they decided to put them in. He also told us he was sure they had delivered it, but someone in the family took the card, and we would find it later. All the cards were still on the arrangements when they are displayed and even when people took them home- and we let him know that. At this point he let us know we could choose another planter but we couldn't have our money back. We were taken aback because we weren't even asking for our money back, just trying to find out what happened to the arrangement that we had hand picked. At that point, I decided to check with the mortuary again to make yet another check to see if they had come across the arrangement since the owner was so positive he had delivered it. The mortuary confirmed that they looked at their place and hadn't seen it. When I told the mortician I was at the plant peddler he asked to speak with the owner. I have no idea what was said between them, but upon hanging up the phone he told us he would give us our money back because we were part of "my husband's family". Then he became belligerent and rude and questioning our character and saying horrible things about us and our family. He asked wether we wanted another planter or our money back. At this point I was so upset and taken aback that I said I just wanted to be done dealing with them and wanted our money back. He even went so far as to ask us if we lived nearby and when we told him no, we lived 20 hours away. He responded with "good, then I'll never have to see you again." He also told us that he figured what happened was that we had seen that there were other planters that looked similar and decided we didn't want one more that looked the same, so we had come back to tell him it hadn't been delivered just get our money back-- which couldn't have been further from the truth. I will, in fact, be ordering a planter elsewhere to send to my mother in law, who I would have liked to see take home the one I originally wanted. I have never been spoken to this way by anyone I've done business with EVER. If I hadn't been there, I wouldn't believe that an owner would speak to and attack a customer this way. I used a national florist that utilized this merchant. I liked the arrangements and because they were easy to work with, ordered through them directly when purchasing flowers for my son's gravesite. I fly to Utah from the East side of the US 4 times a year to visit my son's grave. There were some miscommunications during these 4+years. Because I would fly into Utah and out the next day from SLC I would arrange for the flowers to be there when I would be so I could see the flowers. There was a problem with the delivery last year. I asked for delivery by a specific time so I could be there when the flowers were. I called them and was told they would never make a time commitment because they did not deliver to Paradise on a Saturday. I tried to explain they did say they would be there by 12pm. When I sent the payment I sent them the card with the order instructions showing the time requested for delivery. I had been right there was a specific time noted. This year when I called to order flowers for my son's grave on his birthday I was told by the owner 'they were unable to take orders for my son because we had so many problems'. He would discuss nothing. Then he said 'bye bye' to get me off the phone. Knowing the order was for my son how could an owner be so cruel? Called the national florist and explained the situation and they took the order knowing not to have Plant Peddler make the arrangement. The national florist called me a little while ago and told me they only used Plant Peddler and the spoke to the owner and he refused to take the order. For the first time since my only child passed away there are no flowers on my son's grave, for no other reason than Plant Peddler refused because I had shown them there was a time on the last order. How anyone could be so heartless and punish a mother because there was a problem with the previous order; and the problem was pointed out to them in a professional manner. I called every florist in Logan Utah and found one that will work with me. Plant Peddler may make beautiful arrangements, but they lack in any customer service. When I got to the viewing the flowers were not there. I asked the mortuary staff and they had not gotten anything from me. I waited until I got back home to talk with my florist. They called Plant Peddler Floral. They claim it was made and delivered. They did not have a description of the flowers they had made for me. They hung up on my florist. She tried to call them again to make sure they had the correct address, but they would not pick up the phone. I tried to call on my cell phone and was screamed at in the phone that they were busy and did not have time to be looking for a past order. He hung up on me. My florist felt so bad she made me a beautiful floral arrangement to make up for it. Because they had hired Plant Peddler to do the job they had already paid them and could not refund my money. But I did need to go back out in my car and get the credit card that I had purchased my bouquet with. So I could give her the last four digits of my credit card number. We ordered an arrangement for our daughter to cheer her up, because she was having a bad week. We were very clear on the order that the flowers had to be delivered after 6pm and they confirmed that they would do it between 6-7pm. When we didn't hear anything about the delivery from our daughter, we called the floral the next day and they said, "Oh, we tried to deliver, but no one was home. She can come by our shop and pick them up if she wants." Their records showed they had tried to deliver before 6pm, when we told them she would not be home. They made ZERO effort to redeliver and just expected our daughter (who has no car) to come pick them up at their shop as their solution to their mistake. HORRIBLE customer service. It is not like me to write reviews but this situation had me really scratching my head wondering where did customer service go?? So I called in and ordered flowers for Mother's Day one for my mom and one for my wife on Saturday. I realized before calling that I was behind the ball so I thought it might be a stretch for a company to have time to take the order and deliver same day with Mother's Day the next day. To my surprise they assured me that they could accommodate my order and delivery. They promised after me asking and confirming multiple times that they could make the delivery on both sets of flowers before end of day Saturday. I gave them all information over phone for payment etc and they said we were good. I came home from work that evening about 8:00 expecting to see flowers for my wife only to find out nothing had been delivered. I didn't say anything initially as I though maybe they just got way behind schedule and just maybe they would be showing up soon... well they never showed up for the delivery at our home or my mother's home. Due to them being closed that evening at this point and on Sunday I figured I would hear from someone Monday morning..... NOPE no call. So when I got a minute , about 11:00 I called to see what had happened. The lady informed me that my card information had been taken down wrong or something so they could not process the order. I was ok with this as I fully understand mistakes happen. I then asked why no one had called to inform me of this.... she said they had called and left me a voice message. I explained that I had no missed calls and no vm. I was confused as well thinking if no contact had been made why there would be more than 1 attempted call? I again told her I understand mistakes can happen and really no prob. Who knows maybe they did try to reach out and my phone did not take call or I did not get vm??? I then asked her if we could still get flowers delivered but with a slight discount do to the mistake and confusion.... she told me there was no way they could offer a discount of any amount and the only thing they could do is cancel the order if I wasn't willing to pay in full. This took me by surprise given the situation. I tried to explain again that I understand mistakes happen but figured it was not my mistake and as a customer due to the mistake on their end I felt a small discount to accommodate for the trouble was not too much to ask for. Well she wasn't having it and was very firm on the fact there was NOTHING they were going to do for the trouble. I was told again full price or nothing. I told her I'll go ahead and cancel the order. Now I am left ordering flowers a day late for my mom and wife from another company, which btw I had 0 issues with and flowers have already arrived on time with no issues. Again I understand mistakes happen but as a business it would seem to me that when these mistakes do happen and the mistake is on your end you might want to try putting in a little effort to work with your customers to make things right for both parties, especially when they tell you they are understanding of the situation. In the day when it can be as easy or easier to type in an order and payment info (that wouldn't be taken wrong) on the internet and have said order taken down and delivered correct and accurately you must find ways as a small business to increase your interactions with your customers in every way you can, rather than discourage them to shop with you because it's too hard or worse yet make it so they don't feel taken care of or appreciated for shopping with you. The girls I talked on the phone wasn't the nicest made me feel like I had done something wrong. Took the flowers on Wednesday morning the owner came out and could not be nicer. Said the roses he had received were not the best and was happy to replace my bouquet when his flowers came in. He even offered to deliver and did. Very pleased with how the owner handled this. Worst florist shop in town. My sister ordered a funeral arrangement by phone. She paid for roses and lilies. They gave her carnations. She said no banners. They put a banner on it. She confronted the owner (kindly). She explained she saw an arrangement online (through his affiliation with FTD) but specified on the phone how the flowers were to be roses and lilies. The owner told her he never looks at the web site and that she was complaining and Bitc*ing. He said that twice. Gave her a hard time. Said he would "try" to fix it, but the funeral was soon so I doubt it will happen. We paid $185 for what amounted to be cheap carnations, and the owner acted like his mistake was our fault. FTD said we had to deal with the owner. We will never use either one again. Stay away from this guy, his shop, and FTD. read more
