I have held off writing this because of the anger I have, with that New vet. Hes maybe Stephen, from lake city. My male cat was blocked, that day they had a total of 3 same symptoms including mine. I told him my cats history, and I will praise Clinton Vets, the sister site fir saving Morts life twice. This new Vet, I warned him, my cat would ripe out his catheter. I told him and the new nurse, she doesn't like slower, I made it clear that nobody would get a pill down his throat. I left him against my better judgment about 4pm. At 530 I got a call, a nurse fussing she couldn't get a pill down his throat. Well I warned them. Why was he not given a stronger pain killer? My cat ripped his catheter and IV out over night. I didn't get called untill 10am and was informed about this. They charged me 400$ to put it back in. OK please save my baby, I called at 5pm. Was told my cat was chilling and everything was great. He was relaxing. A calmness fell over me but was very short live. A HOUR later, I was phoned to come get Morty, that he need emergency surgery cause he had stones in his bladder, not normal for a cat his size. I don't believe this really because Clinton had done blood tests on him and nothing showed up 2 months earlier. OK, so he was chilling and relaxing, but now a hour later nothing was coming out of his catheter.
Maybe because , they didn't give him the correct pain meds to make him alitte sleepy, he would have slept instead of being in enough pain to jerk out a cather and IV? I don't unfortunately have the $ fir the emergency vet, especially because I owed Dr Death 1,000 . I was rushed up there after 630. Alteast I and my son did get to spend about 15 mins with him. Now I admit, my cat was blocked.
My cat, if fiesty, especially in pain and can't pee. Clinton Vet, Not Dr V, but the other lady saved his life twice. 2 months before this episode and once ladt year. I never got to see the xrays of these stones. But what bothers me, is how do you not notice nothing is coming from the catheter, I call they say he's doing good, he's chilling and relaxing and a hour and a half later I had to put him under? That was my sons furbaby. Are family member, I think Dr Death "Stephen" just got outta school and was ready to handle a cat like Morty. Dr Hands is a good vet, I can't bring myself to bring any animal back up there especially if that one Vets there. If you have read all this, Thank you. Please don't make the same mistake I did. I wanted to say, All the assistance and nurses are wonderful . EXCEPT the one I left my cat with, he was slobbering cause he was nervous and in pain, she doesn't do slobber. That ran all over me. I should have took him right then and left. I couldn't, it was to late by then. Also the owners if this facility, Do you get all your vets straight outta school? Ive been a customer for 25yrs atleast. Dont insult me with some quote off the top of your head either.
