Stopped in for a Smoothie for the boyfriend and I before heading to the nearby Dog Park at Glasgow Park. We were able to use a Groupon to purchase 2 large smoothies with Groupon paying a little bit extra. Overall, it was $21 for the two drinks. The drinks weren't as thick as other smoothies I've had like at Tropical Smoothie. The location is quick and easy to get to with the plaza popular with Dickey's BBQ and a Royal Farm. I go to Planet Smoothie at least 3-4 times a week. I have never had an issue until today. Normally, the service is good, staff is friendly and drinks are delicious. Today (4/15/22) I went in at 11:30am. There were six people in front of me and three behind me. It took ten minutes for the staff to even acknowledge me and take my order! The staff screwed up the orders and the three women who came in last got their drinks first while the rest of us waited. One of the women who ordered before me got tired of waiting and left. Two online orders came in and had to wait, as well. I was the last to get my smoothie a half hour after I ordered it! This was very disappointing. read more

Zach is one of the best employees we've ever had at Planet Smoothie. He was extremely patient, as we had a large order, and happily explained all of our different smoothie ordering possibilities. He decorated all of our cups with our names, and laughed with us through the entire time we were there. Reason I give this establishment a thumbs down is because I experience racist from the Planet Smoothie in Newark. I Went there to pick up a smoothies for my wife and myself. I had never ordered a smoothie from Planet Smoothie before. Ordered the smoothies called The Last Mango, but Forget to tell them to add Spinach. Walked out the door and I immediately turned and went back to counter, I told the worker I would like spinach added to my drinks. The young lady at the counter looked at me and asked if I drinked from the smoothie. I said no the straws are not open. She then told me it's against policy if I leave the store. So, I asked if she could refund he money or remake the drink. I was told no to the refund because Planet Smoothie don't give out free smoothies. I found that statement to be rude, I paid almost $14 dollars for the 2 smoothies. After further discussion with the worker and being looked at with disgust I left and I am not coming back.
