Why can't I do the same thing with my hair that he can?! I've got corse, thick, frizzy, curly-ish…read morehair and when I come out of there, it looks like someone else's hair (yeah, I'm ok with that)! Getting an appointment this time was actually really easy... called on Friday and got one on Monday. I made my appointment with Shaun again. I am used to a stylist that already knows what they want to do with my hair when I walk in (yes, that is how much I trusted my last stylist), so today I just told him I was bored and I didn't know what to do with my hair, but I knew something needed to be done. So he asked questions and played with the hair a bit... I ended up having to make a decision on whether to go short or stay long, but when he asked me about the front and whether to make it long or to give me bangs (I believe the Brits call it 'fringe'...yes I'm giggling just as you are giggling about 'bangs') I asked, "Can I leave that to you?" He said that he would start from the back and then decide once he saw how things were progressing. Everything was great, minus one thing... so he took me to get my hair washed, and 5 or 6 staff standing nearby and they stood there the whole time. They seemed to be watching and it was just uncomfortable. It also just seemed really weird that so many staff members had nothing to do, but stand around and watch. I hope that's not what my £36 is paying for. Other than that, Shaun did a fantastic job and once again I have left a very happy customer... that is until I walked outside and the wind just blew all that hard work away!

I've been to many a hairdresser over the years and very few have got it right. I have fine hair and…read morea lot of it. Getting it to hold any shape is nothing short of a bloody miracle so once again I entered the hairdresses with trepidation. Enter Craig, my stylist. He's a flippin genius! Out i came feeling super thrilled with a great haircut. More to the point, i wash my hair and dry it. It looks not too far off what craig created. I'm no hairdresser but every different style i have had cut here has been great. Has held it's shape without too much fuss and styling. Even on my bad hair days, my hair is still fairly acceptable...no worzel gummages for me. I've also had my hair cut by shaun who is also pretty good at what he does. Colour wise, i've had claire colour it and she too always does a good job. Appointment wise, sometimes a bit of a struggle to get in but i work shifts and craig doesnt work tuesdays. ce la vie, i'm flexible and realise that if i want particular stylists then i'm going to have to make allowances that these folk are in demand. Price wise, they're relative to the service they offer. They're not the cheapest but i'm a big believer in you get what you pay for. Don't expect london chic for grantham cheap! If you know what i mean but again it's all about budgeting for what you want. I really like this salon and always recommend it to friends and family. I love the fact that the service is good, friendly and comfortable. refreshments are always offered. They use great products by Aveda. The staff are always polite, courteous and deliver a great service. I'm a big fan and wouldnt change my hairdresser for no one now. If these guys moved town, I would travel to get my hair done by them! Can't say much more. Great hair stylists, lovely atmosphere. Great products and they also have a beauty salon upstairs that offers a variety of treatments. May i also add that i have taken my kids in here and was allowed to use their salon room to breastfeed my baby. You can't get much more accomodating than that really. So go people, get your hair done by this amazing team. I'm a fan and thats that!!
