They seem to care about and value their staff, so the atmosphere is comfortable and always friendly. They are NOT snobby, so if you just want a cut on the hoof, or because you want to save a bit in these lean days, they don't give you the 'why are you so cheap' treatment I have had from other hairdressers. They are cosmopolitan in style as well as being local, so good for a maintenance cut or a complete re-style. They deserve their good reputation. It's such an up-beat and friendly atmosphere and always buzzing with interesting, good looking professionals. You're welcomed with the most friendly staff when you enter, and if you're aware of Hull, it's a rare thing! And within seconds someone is there to take your coat, and offer you a drink. The actual salon is lovely with alot of gold accessories including some amazing gold chairs which is what drew me into the salon in the first place when it opened. They seem to have thought about lots of little details which make a visit to the hairdressers special, I even got Oreo's and praline seashells with my cup of tea not the usual tasteless biscuit in a plastic wrapper that I've had in other salons. So overall good hair, lovely decor, fab service. I reckon it's one of Leicester's hidden gems so go and try it out before they get too busy.

Outrageous dealing with customers! I would like to express…read moremy extreme displeasure, disgust, and anger with the way in which I was treated tonight by Grapevine. I have been a loyal and regular customer of theirs for the past 4 years, spending a lot of money, and have been an advocate of encouraging many of my friends to use their services. Tonight, I had to cancel my nail appointment, and as a result I received a call from the manager/owner asking for pre-payments for all my future appointments (apparently I have had 8 other cancellations, 3 whilst I was unavoidably in hospital). As a loyal customer, this is not how I expect to be treated, and all I got from the manager was that "Sorry, you have given us less than 24hrs notice. It says this on our price list!". Yet, it is acceptable for them to offer a service to touch up broken/ damaged nails (this takes no more than a few minutes), and not honour it. I want to ask you: " How many times as a loyal and regular customer, do you check the price lists?" You usually book appointments, turn up and as a loyal customer pay the price even when it is increased. Is this the way to treat your customers in a small town? Or have you got so many customers that you have forgotten about the most important rule of any good business:"Customer Service" = Repeat custom, and good reputation!! Time for a change, I think. There are plenty of other good establishments who would value my custom. At the time of receiving the call tonight, I was in a local well-known establishment. They heard all the conversation, and they were shocked with the way I was treated. I leave you with these thoughts!

However this is not reflected in the quality or range of services offered. The staff are all highly trained with individual specialisms and are highly talented. The service goes well beyond what you might expect from a high street hairdressers - I can not recommend them enough. They did my wifes' hair on our wedding day (although they started the evening before to make sure it was perfect) and they made her look like a princess. Perfect.
