Desperate, I called her office at 7 AM and had no idea my life was about to change when she called me back an hour later. From that first call, I knew she was the perfect person to help me resolve a complicated and unusual employment issue that other attorneys reported was too complex for them. She understood the complexities of my situation immediately and handled them with aplomb. Sana is one of the smartest people you will ever meet. Her emotional intelligence is off-the-charts, making her a rare combination of intellect and wit. Her seamless ability to calm my nerves, give me "real talk" when I needed it, and offer a shoulder to cry on made her the perfect advocate. I know I would not have survived a minute of this process with another attorney. When my employer hired Big, Formidable Law Firm to represent them, I became anxious because of their reputation. It quickly became clear that this firm would be no match for Sana. Sana not only anticipated my employer's every move, but also outmaneuvered them every step of the way. At points throughout, I thought she was clairvoyant given how precisely she predicted their actions and, at times, even words. I still remain in awe of her expertise and professionalism. I have a handful of colleagues and friends with nearly identical cases to mine, some with experiences far worse. Sana not only supported me far beyond what any of my friends' attorneys provided, but she also secured nearly triple the amount of damages they received. As an aside, I knew I could trust Sana when my dog fell madly in love with her, a first. From our time working together, I have grown to respect her as one of the most brilliant, hardworking, and compassionate advocates I have ever known. She changed my life in more ways than I will ever be able to express and I am eternally grateful to her. I trust Sana with my life and I give her my highest recommendation.

I found Star Services on NAPPS and emailed a detailed itemization of our needs on a Friday. Jeff called me for clarification and after I explained in great detail that there were 3 Zoom deposition subpoenas (for which no mileage fee was necessary) as well as 6 document subpoenas (for which a mileage fee was to be paid to the place for production), he seemed to understand the assignment. I was a little taken aback when he immediately emailed 9 separate electronic invoices, demanding payment before even attempting service of a single subpoena. We typically pay invoices AFTER the service is completed. He quickly served 1 deposition subpoena and 2 document subpoenas (to the same address) on Sunday, and we paid those invoices in less than 24 hours on Monday morning. At 2:00 p.m. CST, I emailed Jeff requesting that he cancel service of the 2 remaining deposition subpoenas but to proceed with serving the 4 document subpoenas. Six hours later, at 7:45 p.m. CST, Jeff emailed revised invoices removing the charges for service of 2 document subpoenas (as opposed to the requested deposition subpoenas), closing with "I have gone well above and beyond here as far as adapting to your needs, please make sure the invoices are paid". I replied with a polite email requesting that he please revise the invoices to add the mileage fee to the document subpoena invoices. At 8:15 CST, Jeff called my cell phone and proceeded to argue with me about the mileage fee. I attempted to clarify for him (he had obviously failed to recognize the distinction between the deposition subpoenas and the document subpoenas) and he became irate, claiming that he had done everything we had asked and stating that "this job is too much trouble". He went on to tell me he was throwing our subpoenas in the trash and cancelling the remaining invoices. Oftentimes, my clients will instruct me to book a court reporter through an approved vendor. However, when given a choice I exclusively book through Jeffrey Mannis & Company. In fact, it was a Jeffrey Mannis court reporter that sat through my first ever deposition (I shudder at the memory). I have a tendency to show up at least 30 minutes early to my depositions and the Jeffrey Mannis court reporter always beats me to the location. The court reporters are always patient with me when I keep them waiting while I negotiate settlements or engage in lengthy talks (arguments) with opposing counsel. I've had a court reporter wait almost 3 hours only to have her dismissed without going on the record and she didn't even complain one bit. Patience is a virtue and Jeffrey Mannis court reporters are simply divine. The reporters are always courteous, professional and extremely friendly. When I was a new attorney, they gave me tips on difficult opposing counsel. Transcripts are always prepared within a reasonable time (30 days) and I never come across any errors when I proofread transcripts. The court reporter always takes notes regarding spelling and is able to deal with my relatively soft-spoken manner of speaking and capture every word. I've traveled far and wide for work (Bishop, Palm Desert, Rancho Mirage, Victorville) and it always comforts me to see a Jeffrey Mannis court reporter show up for my depositions.
