But the real highlight here is the amazing and helpful staff. I had rented a cottage in Magog and one morning jumped on to my bike only to have my rear derailleur cable snap before I even finished my first pedal stroke. I rushed into town to look for a bike shop that could help me. The first place I stopped at told me that they were busy and my bike would be ready in two weeks. That simply didn't work for me as I was looking forward to doing a bunch of riding and had upcoming races to prepare for. I thought to myself OMG will I have to drive 1.5 hours back to Montréal and take my bike into my local shop to get some help? That would be horrible, but I was ready to do what I needed to do. Then I came across Ski Vélo Vincent and headed in to see if they could help me. They were also really busy and had a backlog in their service department of many days. But the guys there totally understood my predicament and realized that the work I needed to get me back on the road was a pretty quick fix. They took my bike in and had me back on the road by the end of the day. I'm forever grateful to the awesome team at Ski Vélo Vincent and they will certainly be my forever go to bike shop in Magog.

The staff knows their stuff, and is more than willing to help you decide between pedals, powerbars, or whatever you are in need of. They are located right at the trailhead for kingdom trails (mountain biking), next to east Burke market, and along the bank of a lazy bend in the river. Pro tip: for a little mountain bike recharge- Grab a drink and a snack from the market and post up on a picnic bench. The Constant flow of bikers is always amusing.

After 45 minutes, mine showed that the battery was low and I needed to return but I was an hour away. It also kept turning off as I went up mildly steep hills. I contacted office and they were not nice about it. I said I was not going to try to return with the battery on red as I didn't want to chance being stuck in the woods instead of where I was, by the side of the road. He said he would refund my money and my two companions continued while I waited for him. He was very rude when he picked me up. He tried the bike on a flat service and said it was fine. Didn't argue about the battery being on red. He was rude again on the ride back regarding me inconveniencing him. When I asked about the refund he refused to provide it, saying I had wasted his time by needing a ride and so cost him money. He said the bike was fine, which it was not, and the battery was on red. I would not encourage anyone to go there when there are lots of other choices around.

Sports 4 Saisons was recommended as a place that might be able to help. Donovan, a young employee of the shop, showed me the selection of used bikes for sale. I narrowed it down to my favorite (Triumph Vertical DX, light blue with sparkles, made in Canada (yeah!)), and the staff patiently made multiple adjustments to the bike until it was the ideal fit for me. During my week, I enjoyed daily 15-25 km easy rides on the bike trails and roads - it was wonderful! The staff was very helpful, and the bike that they sold me was perfect! I only wish I could have taken my beloved bike with me on the plane when it was time to return home. I recommend this bike shop.
