I have attended countless shows in Salle Wilfred-Pelletier! From Jazz to comedy shows to ballet to broadway musical. My latest venture was one of my all time literature, Victor Hugo's Les Miserables! From settings to the performances was the best ever! I actually believe it was the best musical I have seen since I was welled up with major thick tears. Bravo to the whole crew of Les Miserables! Thank you to place des Arts for bringing the show to us! I always enjoy the venue. I sat everywhere, balconies, floors... it got good leg space. Seats are comfortable and the hall is beautifully decorated.

The Place des Arts in Montreal is quite impressive from the outside in the evening. I imagine that it must be even more impressive inside as well. Yeah, we did not go inside the place to watch any concert or show. We were just taking a leisurely walk one cool evening when we came across this beautiful venue. Will have to watch something here during our next trip to Montreal.

Place des Arts is chic and with great sound and sight lines. Sometimes it feels a little nineties cheesy in the lighting design, but there are beautiful touches in the decor - I love the walkway in from St Catherine's with the slight incline and beautiful sculpted ceiling shapes, and the lounge bar that, as my charming companions pointed out, feels like a sexy cave. Who doesn't like a sexy cave?

The Place des Arts is one of my favorite place in Montreal. I usually go there for many reasons but that evening I went to see a musical at the Wilfried Pelletier theater. Of course, this place is very well maintained, the architecture of the room is very thought out and the seats were also very comfortable. However, I'm not sure that this place was suited for a show of that kind: I wasn't a fan of the acoustic, it was not good at all. Wilfried Pelletier is probably very good for plays but not for musicals. The actors did a wonderful job but the room did not do them justice. I'll probably have to see another show in that particular room, just to compare. (3.5)

Very nice facility. Elegant, clean and classy. I saw a show at the Salle Wilfrid Pelletier theatre and it was awesome. The sound was fantastic. The theatre seemed intimate even though it seats around 3000 people. There are enough bars around that during an intermission you can actually get a drink and not have to guzzle it down before the show starts again!

Attended a few concerts here over the years during the Montreal jazz festival. It's a staple for the paid special feature concerts during the festival. Beautiful decor for taking photos. The basement is the metro and also accesses a food court, and there are a few fancier dining options inside. The bar during concerts is too packed, for example there was a long line and one bartender during one concert. Sit upstairs on the balcony front row if you like a great view of the stage.

You might not get to see big famous companies here, but rather newcomers and those who enjoy the freedom of the fringe. I enjoy going to the Sunday Night Improv (every Sunday night 8 pm) - a competition in improv with many regulars and a few new faces every time, guaranteed to make you laugh! The crowd in the audience gets quite involved, too. And for those who want to be on stage themselves, there is a workshop every Sunday prior to the show. Everybody can attend for free, and then perform in the evening! The theatre is also one of the regular venues for the Zoofest, the more independent branch of the Montreal comedy festival.

I've had the pleasure of performing here at their annual Sketch Festival. Alain and Mark run the place, and they treat their performers like performers are supposed to be treated. Which is, incidentally, very good. By consequence of performing here, I've also been able to catch a few of the shows they put on, including original bilingual productions, and weekly improv nights. It's all about the art here. It's about people who love what they are doing, and love pushing it to new levels. The venue itself is an intimate space, with a bar up front and two-ish levels of seating. It's across from a strip club where you might be able to catch the silhouettes of lovely-ish ladies dancing in the windows during the early hours of the night! If you live in the area, check out what they have going on, and go to it. I'm so upset I missed the a Capella / barbershop group that was performing last time I was in town.

We had seats on the floor for the first half of the concert and it was lovely. The seats on the floor are not very comfortable. We asked if we could move to the balcony and we were allowed to go up for the second half of the concert. WOW! The balcony was amazing and an experience for the Orlando Consort. Just amazing! The seats in the balcony are more comfortable too. The stain glass windows are just wonderful and then I went up and realized these were Tiffany glass. This venue is well worth the visit to see any concert and see all the lovely stain glass. The staff working were all super friendly and helpful. The place is super clean. The bathrooms are super clean as well. TIP: Balcony seats are where you want to sit in this lovely place. It's an intimate venue with great acoustics. Many of the stained glass windows are by the famous Louis Tiffany. We purchased floor tickets and sat in seats G16 and G18, excellent seats. Since the concert was not sold out, we asked if we could move to the balcony at intermission. The staff graciously allowed us to change seats. The acoustics in the balcony are much better compared to the floor. Overall cleanliness: excellent Bathroom cleanliness: excellent Wifi: free wifi but ver slow. Ran an Nperf test and it measured 10.6 down, 10.6 up. Not fast by any measure and this was on a day with only 25% of the seats occupied. Staff: pleasant staff Tip: Buy balcony seats. The benches in the balcony are more comfortable than the chairs on the floor, and the acoustics are better in the balcony.

Very disappointing in their lack of care for attendees with accessibility concerns…read more We bought tickets for our first show at the Wiggle room and arrived before the doors opened because my wife had busted her ankle the day before and was on crutches for the first time in her life. I dropper her off at the door because she couldn't go far on the crutches. This was super stressful because there was nowhere to safely pull over and she had to get out on the street side and try to navigate the traffic on her crutches. After I helped her get to the door, I left her there while I went to park the van we were driving. It's an unusually large accessibility van. So I quickly discovered I was too tall for any parking garage and too big for any street parking. There was apparently also a large event going on and it was crazy trying to find parking. I spent over an hour trying to find a place to park and couldn't find a place anywhere. During this time my wife kept calling and was in tears because of the steep stairs in the building. She said people offered to carry her up the stairs but it scared her too much. She tried calling the listed phone number to get some advice but no one answered the phone or returned her voicemail. After more than an hour of trying to find a way to make it work we gave up because it was so stressful on both of us. We called and emailed and asked for a refund given the circumstances but they never bothered to even respond in any way. I understand their are limitations to what they can do for customers with accessibility needs, but at least showing that you have some empathy would leave customers not feeling totally ignored.

I try to visit every year because they always have new additions and activities. This year there were a few changes: -reservations ahead of time for the big 3 activities (ferris wheel, zip line, and slide). I think this change made sense theoretically but in practice it was very messy. They didn't advertise well enough that the tickets existed, so tons of people just showed up and were very confused. Also at first the tickets were available at 5pm BEFORE the day you planned on visiting and then it was changed to 1 hour before the festival opened for THAT day and that day only. Tickets were for 20 minute to 15 minute time slots. The scanning process was slow since so many people didn't know to reserve in advance, and sometimes the employees would just not care and let anyone in so the tickets served no purpose. -Less food trucks but more food booths (from sponsors like the milk company and maple syrup company). -The bell lounge didn't have phone cleaning or VR activities anymore, It was more for drinks and live music performances. - New Tim Hortons game where you threw pucks at a giant screen. -Cheese festival inside the mall! (very packed though so didn't visit) I really love this festival but it's too short! Make it available for 3 weeks and still end on the Nuit Blanche!
