Title: The Lonely Café
Location: Paris, France
I could live in Paris for another 100 years and it wouldn't be long enough. As I walk in the Madeleine District of Paris, I am distracted by the many sights, sounds, and smells of fresh croissants at every tiny café. I continue to walk to La Seine in a journey to no where. Such is life.
Il n'y a qu'un bonheur dans la vie,
c'est d'aimer et d'être aimé...
As I pass by several street cafes, I couldn't help notice the figure of a woman sitting alone reading a book, as she sips a perfect cup of café latté... I stop and indirectly watch her thinking if she's Parisian, or perhaps on a journey like I am. I wonder if I should introduce myself hmm, but I'd be interrupting her read, instead I smile to myself, our eyes suddenly meet, she smiles back. It's a moment in time I'll never forget. Yet, I continue on my journey in this lifetime. Maybe I just enjoy the helpless romantic part in me, if only, or perhaps she reminded me of someone I once loved. I'll save it for tomorrow.
Il n'y a qu'un bonheur dans la vie,
c'est d'aimer et d'être aimé...
Such is life in the romantic city of light. In Paris we are all poets, artists, and dreamers. I wish I knew your name, but our paths may cross again, I can only hope, and if so...my name is Eric Robert... warrior-poet, germaphobe, a tad bit eccentric, and a lover of life. c'est la vie...
Then I remember...
Il n'y a qu'un bonheur dans la vie,
c'est d'aimer et d'être aimé...
There is only one happiness in life: to love and be loved...
Je t'aime... I love you. read more
