Pizzicotto-Porta Pescara is definitely one of Mexico City's best kept secrets. It is located on the Southwest of Mexico City, between San Angel and Santa Fe, on Avenue Desierto de los Leones. It is an Italian restaurant, offering the best plates from Italy accompanied by a large list of excellent wines. Most people that attend the restaurant are the ones that have been doing so for the last 7 or 8 years since the restaurant first opened, because of the special secrets it keeps. The best time to attend is at Friday or Saturday night, for dinner. Order as an entree a Carciofi Porta Pescara, an incredibly delicious artichoke sunk in a sauce composed by four types of cheese. Order a bottle of wine, a Cabernet would suit best. For pizza, order the Veggie pizza, but save space for the Nutella pizza as dessert. read more
