I had heard so many good things about the pizza here and finally managed to get here today. I walk by this place often but never bothered to try it. It's good value for money pizza and it's quite popular with students in the area. They have a large outdoor seating area and of course seats inside as well. The menu is mostly pizza and pasta and they have a specials list each day. Service is quick and friendly. I always get a pizza Diavolo first time at a new place. It's my benchmark pizza and it's surprising how different it can be from place to place. On the basis of the Diavolo I would say it was not a great Diavolo and I have had many better ones on town :-) The aperolspritz was also not so nice. This is a good budget restaurant in the university district. We got a nice house red wine for less than 2 euros a glass We also got the seafood pasta (good for the value. but unclear how fresh it was. I have very sensitive eczema that flares with unfresh shellfish). the taste was great, but the aftermath was not as pretty. the pizza however was fantastic! we got an eggplant, buffalo mozz, basil pizza that was reminiscent of when we were in Rome. service is super friendly. if your group is big, make sure to make a reservation! read more

A good deal... I heard a lot about this place and know it from its advertisement at the subway station. I first had doubts if we could manage to get a table at lunch time in this fully packed restaurant, but as the customers are mainly students of the nearby university, most of them don't stay long. So we only had to wait a couple of minutes. The service was impressively quick. So not only our order was immediately taken, we also received our drinks before we could even decide what to eat. I went for the Pizza Regina with ham and mushrooms. I could see it being baked in the stone oven and it arrived with bubbling hot cheese only seconds after it was pulled out of the oven. Again our waitress was impressively aware what was going on. The dough was crispy and thin and the topping well seasoned with italian spices. And not to forget, the prices are quite moderate. Came here because it was near my friend's place. It's a pretty cool place that seems to be full of locals... the menu is German only. Got the matematica pizza, which was stuffed with toppings. Crust was decent. Thought it was fairly good value at under 10 euros. Also tried the Hugo drink (my first time). Didn't really like this as I couldn't really taste the mint... my friend mentioned that it wasn't made well. So next time I'd stick to the beers. Service was friendly. Most of the seating was outdoors, which was perfect for the good weather. read more

I ate here once last winter, and just recalled it as I was pondering what to do next week for a dinner outing. The pizza really is delicious, and I'm loathe to admit that any pizza outside of my beloved NYC is worth even a sniff of my attention. The pasta and salad dishes are good too, so feel free to split and share with your friends. The cozy atmosphere here is great during the winter, but I wonder how it would be during the warmer months. Some of the tables are really close together, which makes it difficult to stash your coats away during the meal, but not so much that I would avoid coming here on that account. I remember also liking their drinks selection, meaning that there was an abundance of delicious wine that evening. read more

Not sure why the number of just ok reviews is so high. I'm here for six months for a work project and living in NJ we have damn good pizza. I'll say that the last few times I've been here the service has been excellent and the pizza as good as anything I've had on the East Coast. read more

Dont't let the package fool you!. I know the place doesnt look like much and sure there isn't any eye candy, but the food really makes up for that. Both during lunch hours and dinner time, after 7pm the place will be packed on most nights. If it's oacked, is self-explanatory you won't find much space and reservations are a must during peak hours. If it's footie night, aka FC Bayern playing you might want to avoid the place if you are not a foottie fan. If you are, even better. I for one, love watching Bayern play at Studente with some friends on the big screens. All Pizzas are great, generally, but I have come across some Pizza cooks here, who really disappointed me, after I had been spoiled. He had put too much cheese on the Pizza or the crust was too thick, un-Italian. A friend doesn't mind that though, I do. A Pizza **needs** to be Itialian thin. Not too much cheese, a somewhat crusty dough, dark yellow baked, almost brown. The wood oven fire usually does the best job of Pizza baking and gives it a natural taste. You will always find a couple black spots, but no need to worry. Very common in wood ovens. The pasta is also really good, the waiter (I will grant him anonymity) will tell you to eat the Pizza, but I also enjoy the pasta. The lunch specials are well-priced and worth the trip. I enjoy the tables on the sidewalk from spring to fall and they offer blankets to the ladies (or the guys who act like ladies) if they feel cold. Overall a great place, inexpensive, cozy/comfortable and awesome Pizza. Go there. read more

We stumble upon this place on a Sunday late afternoon few months ago, we wanted to go somewhere else but it was closed and we were hungry. I m giving this restaurant 3 stars only for the pizza because it was actually good. The service was appalling, except for one waitress, that did not serve us :(, the other two were very unfriendly on the verge or rude. I ate once here, and although the service was ok, the food was terrible. I ordered a soup (soup of the day) with different ingredients, apple and carrot among them if I remember well, but all I could taste was potatoes. My husband ordered a pizza that looked terrible because the garniture had slided on one side and tasted terrible as well because the crust was still soft and not fully baked. The tomato sauce tasted like the cheapest industrial tomato sauce and there were big pieces of uncut vegetables that looked like they were thrown onto the sauce. I looked around and other customers did not look disturbed by what they were eating. It is supposed to be cheap. But since it was so bad, we ended up finding it quite expensive. Also, Pepenero carries the same type of price, but their pizzas taste like they are supposed to taste. read more

Fast service and great pizza. Good prices for Munich. I've been her twice in the evening and was served in under 15 minutes both times.

Decent pizza for the price, however nothing to write home about. I'm not sure about their pastas but they are not homemade and didn't look that great. I would eat here again if I was in the neighbourhood and craving a pizza though. read more
